back in the USA!

okay, so, i failed a bit on the whole dailybooth front. well, it doesn't really surprise me, but one would think that how lazy I am with blogging, that a simple short system like dailybooth would be perfect. oh well!

in other news, i dyed my hair! WOO! it's half brown, half blonde, precisely down the middle. I've wanted to do this style for a long time, so I did it. i really like the brown shade though, so I'll probably do that all-over when I go next time in a few months.

SWEET JESUS IT'S HOT

85F and who knows what humidity. whoever told me the humidity wasn't bad in hokkaidou LIED. well, truth be told, I much prefer this over the cold wind & snow, but it's fun to complain.
really, though, the weather today feels exactly like back home. not QUITE as hot as Nebraska but almost. it's nice in a weird way. first time I've ever missed air conditioning though (I have none in my apartment).

I kind of get the feeling this is unusual for Sapporo but maybe not. must ask locals.

oh by the way this is a shot from my Uni. it's the main entrance/pathway, leading away from the school though. aren't the trees pretty? It reminds me of my home Uni... mostly similar in how barren and ugly it looked in the winter, but how lovely it is in the summer haha.

I HATE YOUUUU

though today's studying of it has been pretty lax. just making flashcards of ones from my book.
I have to study them hard because ... my classmates are all Chinese and thusly amazingly perfect at kanji... also I am taking the JLPT level 2 in July so I have to work for that too.
it's weird though because I don't really know how to study, much less study HARD lol. and I'm a senior in college...?!

oh well! I was depressed about it last week but the weather has finally picked up and the trees are getting greener and life is good!! so I'm not worried... haha

also, it certainly must be happiness to be able to eat delicious cheap hayashi rice once a week...!

some of the sakura have finally bloomed! these are from my school. the weather has been craptastic (rainy and cold) lately, but these little spurts of pink and white make it a bit better.

IT'S MY BIRRRTHDAY♪

seems kind of surreal, really. I mean, it doesn't feel like it. I'm 22? What? when did that happen? today? WHAT???

we're not celebrating until tomorrow (friday night) cause some people have class still in the morning (unlike me fufufu). maybe it will feel more like my birthday then.

but all that doesn't matter cause I AM WEARING LIZ LISA~ ahh so content with life. full pic of the dress in comments!

GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE THE WORLD SAYS HELLO

so, naturally, the most beautiful day so far (60F&sunny) decides to occur on the day I went to bed at 5AM and slept til 3PM. right? of course. but that's okay because it's MAY and GOLDEN WEEK and the sakura will bloom soon and and I'm in JAPAN and everything is FANTASTIC~

haha. I'm in a really good mood. last night was a lot of fun... fufu.

hey guys what's up, LONG TIME NO TALK RIGHT? haha.
so I had internet, and then my computer exploded. like, hard drive fried exploded. it beeped.
luckily my parents were nice enough to ship me a new one, though it took about a week and a half for it to finally arrive. (the money came out of my loan funds for Japan though so it still kinda sucks just a little). It's very shiny and Dell and also purple which is kind of my least favorite color but oh well. I'm getting used to it.

life's been busy and then also not. when I have free time during the weekdays I'm usually holed up in my room because the weather is still crappy and cold. weekends we (me and the other exchange students) go out and do things like karaoke until 5 am but other than that it's been pretty uneventful. still waiting to go out to the dance clubs, it's the plan for this weekend but who knows!

tomorrow I'm going on a shopping extravaganza, it's about time. I'm gonna head to UNIQLO first because it's cheap, hoping to get some good stuff~ and I'll probably have to uh, accidentally drop by the Liz Lisa and dazzlin' stores too. depending on how much money I spend, maybe I can get something there too, accidentally of course......... fufu.

there's also a welcome party of sorts for us foreigners tomorrow so I must look my best obviously!

right after i took this, the sun started to shine really brightly.... AND IT STARTED SNOWING.
wth. i've seen sun while it rained but sun while it snowed...?! so bizarre. it's just baby flakes though, cause it's still 6 degrees out.

anyway I've been trying to decide if that tree there is a Sakura tree or not... they don't bloom here until the first week of May so I have to wait to find out haha.

DUMB FACE pffft

it's friday which means TIME TO GO OUT AND PARTYYYY. we're gonna head downtown... I wanna shop like majorly! and then we're gonna try and find a place called CLUB BOOTY. haha doesn't that sound like a club you want to go to? but if it's boring... well, we'll probably find some other place to go to. haha.

I'm kind of sad because I wanna wear heels but I killed my feet the other day testing out my super-giant shoes, and thus have a big blister. but oh well.
