    This picture is 4 years old. For some strange reason, it is one of my favorite self portraits.

    Haven't been around in about a week. Been busy, with the holidays coming up. And also lazy, when I'm not busy. And also sad (but, heck, when am I *not* sad these days?). Anyway, how are you all?

    I'm making a lot of my holiday gifts this year, so I spent much of today working on those. Do you ever make gifts for people?

    Hi there.

    My face and I don't get along lately. You can't really tell, but my face is breaking out for no good reason. Also, I hate my eyebrows.

    Right now I am chatting on facebook with @GreenThumbGeek . I miss her lots and lots.

    I've spent most of today correcting papers. Math papers, to be precise. I don't really like math. And correcting papers is tedious (one of my students' vocab words) and monotonous (another vocab word). I really should still be correcting, but I don't think I will do any more tonight. I may watch an episode of Criminal Minds instead.

    Speaking of Criminal Minds... do *you* watch it? If you do, who is your favorite character and why?

    I can't tell if I look angry or sad in this. *shrug* it's neither really... I feel ill. I'm catching a cold or something and my throat is scratchy, my nose alternates between clogged-drain and running-faucet, and on and off all my joints ache. And I'm just really tired. And *VERY* glad that tomorrow is Friday.

    Being Thursday, I went to my Dad's house and today we put up the Christmas tree. It was fun.

    So, here's my question for the day: what winter holidays do you celebrate? any special ways you celebrate them?

    Sorry for the poor picture quality, but my littlest stepsister took it on her phone and then had to brighten it. I just had to share- me holding Zach's pet snake. So cool! (My dad was taking pictures too, but I probably won't get those for ages).

    I'm getting into the Christmas spirit a bit early tonight. I'm tired, but I want to put on something upbeat to watch until I fall asleep. I have been watching "Lucky Star" but I feel in the mood for something different tonight. Ta-dah! "Itsudatte My Santa!"

    Not my quintessential Christmas film, to be sure, but cheery and such nonetheless.

    Do you have a favorite Christmas film? (Mine is the claymation Rudolph)

    In bed. I have a cat curled up next to me (that big dark spot above the paisley next to my shoulder would be her) and one at my feet as well. (Also, that is the Red Robot's bum you can see behind me XD ).

    Today being Thursday, I went to my Dad's after work. We had pizza for dinner and hung out and then we went and saw one of my step-sisters in her drama club play. Do you know, I don't think I have EVER laughed so hard in public as I did during those two one act shows? Absolutely effing brilliant!!

    While I'm still dealing with some things at the moment, and those things upset me and make me incredibly sad, I had a wonderful night. It felt absolutely wonderful to laugh the way I did. And I love my stepsisters. They are amazingly witty and unbelievably amusing. (I think my stepbrother is pretty cool too, of course, but he tends to spend much of his time up in his room doing homework when I'm over... which I think is probably how he spends the majority of his time, perhaps).

    Do you go to/act in/read plays? What is your favorite? Do you have a show you absolutely can't stand?

    I am feeling under the weather, so no picture of me today. Instead you get to look at one of our cats, Yuna, who is sleeping on my pillow and I feel awful because in about five minutes I'm kicking her off so I can go to bed.

    You also get to see my socks. I collect fun socks, along with anything pigs, so these are BESTSOCKS (in @Walrus speak). If you can't tell, they are socks with flying pigs on them.

    These past few days have not been good for me, in several different ways, which I don't feel like getting into at the moment. Yesterday I came home from work and sobbed for half an hour... and it didn't make me feel any better. (Usually it does, because I don't tend to yell, so I get my emotions out by crying... and I don't know why I am even telling you all this, but I can't be bothered to backspace).

    Anyway, on the topic of emotions... when you get upset, do you tend to get angry? or do you tend to get hurt/sad? a mixture of both, perhaps?
