I'm loving working at the apple store place :) work is loads of fun and apparently I'm doing well. Money will be AWESOME if people keep buying like they have been as well!

    Happy Remembrance Day.
The cannon went off and i felt sad but patriotic and proud in a really poignant way.

    1. How does remembrance day make you feel? Do you do anything for it?
    2. Are you enjoying work? Or whatever you're doing? i don't booth much so update me!!! :D

    What a nice day :)

Applied for a job at the local Apple store. That would be so much fun... then went and bought hangers for my wardrobe so everything is pretty. And now I finally have a number for England. In fact two so I can call Australia cheaply on one and have lots of free texts on the other! :)

oh and I'm wearing my new leather jacket and feeling pretty :D

Reading 'la bête humaine' at the moment and it's SO GOOD. I'm so gripped. I love it.

There have been lots of complicated things going on recently because of uni application tests and resits and stuff but hopefully it all comes together... along with my job in France for which I'll probably only stay 2 months but that's ok :)

    1. What made you smile today?
    2. Anything new recently?

    I'M ON AN EBAY FRENZYYYY

I'm selling loads of my old stuff and buying some awesome new things :) I can't stop myself, it's an addiction!

    In other news
you can't avoid things just cos they're unpleasant. that's a childish attitude. you have to face up to the consequences of things you do!

that's my contribution to the world for today.
Anyway things are looking up. I'm doing loads of reading and I've got lots of pretty books lined up on my windowsill >:) and I might have a job in France which is exciting!

    1. Do you face up to the consequences when you've done something wrong, or do you shy away?

Went to London to visit one of my closest friends @gabster (who doesn't booth any more) and went clubbing in Shoreditch :) Chenez and Mon came too (best friends from KL) and we had a really awesome time.

Now I'm just being plain lazy and playing the sims instead of doing my uni applications, but at least I've sorted out lots of stuff in my room!

    1. What should you be doing?

So I have to leave Switzerland because of stupid bureaucracy and paperwork but i think i'm coming back in a few weeks (hopefully) so never mind! just get to see my family and friends which is nice. It's quite timely. but here's a list of all the things I've done in the last month.

Moved back home after being abroad for nearly 5 years
    Unpacked loads of stuff
Didn't get as good grades as I expected
    Lost my uni place
Thought I might get it again
    Lost it again
    Moved to another country
    Started 2 new jobs
Had to function in a non-English speaking society
Had to deal with the psycho OCD patronising American lady
    Started sorting out my re-sit
    Started re-applying to uni
Found out I can't do those 2 jobs any more
    Booked my flight back home

    Yup.
    Pretty hectic.

    1. What have you done over the last month? Anything important?

Had a pretty awful day - the baby I was looking after fell out of a high chair thing and I felt dreadful for the rest of the day. Then the other kids started acting up as well. But I guess not every day is going to be good... especially not when you're looking after young kids.

BUT reading Harry Potter in French is cheering me up an awful lot. i've learnt so many weird words like amertume which means bitterness and ricaner which means to sneer and ébranler which means to shake and rugir which means to roar so yeah feeling pretty pleased! I'm going to do as much as I can of this a day just to get my reading up to speed (because I'm pretty rusty!) and then be reading a few pages of 'les liaisons dangereuses. Once I get past the initial hard phrases I should be fine so fingers crossed.

Also figuring out how to re-sit my French with an easier and much less confusing exam board. And hopefully setting up a language exchange. If anyone knows a French speaking student in Lausanne who wants to improve their English let me know haha!

    à bientôt, j'éspère, dailybooth xoxo

This is my new room in Switzerland! I've finally unpacked all my stuff. It's really nice and the family I'm working for are lovely :) I haven't been around town yet but I will soon. I should be updating more now that I'm here and life should be exciting.

Didn't get the grade I needed in my re-mark. Edexcel are a very rude word. BUT I can re-take and re-apply though it's stressful and expensive... and on the plus side I'm wearing nice clothes and I look nice and I've lost weight :)

@darcyeloise @helenaflorence you and mum can follow my lovely life on here if you like and if I update enough haha.

    1. Plus and minus sides of today?

My 2-year-old cousin Elizabeth says hi!

I've been at my cousin's place in Solihull near Birmingham for a couple of days for a big family thing for my dad's side of the family. It was loads of fun and my cousins are SO ADORABLE and have MINI SCOUSE ACCENTS!!!

Anyway the most exciting news is I'VE GOT A JOB, as an au-pair in Switzerland. I move there next week I think. I'm so excited I can't say :) it should be great. Good pay, gorgeous location, a chance to improve my french, and a free language course at the local language school.

Hopefully all the good news continues with my re-mark.
