#recordbooth ! this is David Byrne and Bryan Eno - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. I started to listen to this album in college and loved it, I really like drum and bass but this was like the awesome precursor to that kind of engineering. Still has the shrink wrap on it, hence shinyness. A little warped on the edge so the first track on each side doesn't work. I just saw a copy in Wisconsin and I may go back for it one of these days...
this was a HUGE find for me, it's my number one talking heads album and it is one that I have wanted on vinyl since I began collecting. So good. Corrugated cardboard
For the record (NARF NARF) the top records ony my to-buy list are (with an x if I found it)
James Brown - Payback
Nirvana - In Utero (roomate bought the new rerelease ughhh god its nice)
Nirvana - Incesticide or Nevermind (tied at this position)
Captain Beefheart - Bat Chain Puller
Captain Beefheart - Clear Spot (think this was one of my last booths)
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
Joy Division - Closer (x - older booth)
Talking Heads - Fear of Music x
Os Mutantes - Mutantes or Os Mutantes
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
David Byrne and Brian Eno - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts (x - YES this is a forthcoming booth for sure)
these arn't in any order of preference for the albums, simply off the top of my head, records I knew I needed in my collection when I started.
so. you have any you're dying to get / must get / think I need to add to this list?
this is a recent pick up, joy division YES. This is the 1980 single released after Ian Curtis' death with Atmosphere and an alternate-to-Unknown-Pleasures version of She's Lost Control. I highly dig it. Booth ya tomorrow :)
