    Been awhile DB. Recently went and saw Blackstar this past friday. What an amazing show. They also did a tribute to the Beasties and came out to No Sleep Till Brooklyn. Closing out the show to Sabotage. Couldnt have asked for a better start to my weekend.

    Been a sad weekend. Truly heartbroken by the death of Adam Yauch. I can't even recall the number of shows we've been to, the nights spent tossing around their lyrics with my cousin and friends, with nothing but laughter and joy. Plotting our attack to get first row at all their shows. Dressing up for the Gala's (two shows at the Fillmore) and the last time they were here for the Get Out and Vote tour. I even invited them to my wedding (NO JOKE!!), which was right around the time Adam was diagnosed. Completely devastated!! This picture was taken at a Beastie Boy show at Red Rocks in 2008, my sisters gift for her 21st birthday. :*(

    Been neglecting my DB lately. Been so busy. So tge President was in town today. On my way home, I shit you not, two military helicopters fly ahead of me and then another right over the top of my head. As I cruise by the local airport, theyve got the streets blocked off and people are pulled over on the side of the road snapping pictures of what look to be the presidents helicopter and another that looks almost identical to it. Im assuming they were picking him up since it was already 6 in the evening and his speech was given earlier in the day. Of courae, it would have made a sweet pic and I forgot my cell at home. Not that I would snap a picture while driving ;-)

    My eldest son turns 11 on Thursday. Im still trying to process it. He is still my baby and acts it a lot of the times too, but I see how much he has matured and it saddens me. Im not ready. :-(

    Last week was my presentation and I rocked it!!! My boss was so pleased that he called a mandatory meeting at the local bar afterwards to celebrate, which was cool. However, one of the people he required to come I recently had it.out with.

    We went from talking at least three times a day, to not at all. He being the jackass in this scenario by calling me out about something I told him in private and in confidence. He's just hurt because I didnt let it slide.

    Anyway, its awkward, but nothing I cant handle. He on the other hand cant hang at all. We get to the bar and claim a large table. its just him, my boss, and I while we wait for the others to arrive and he is so uncomfortable that he is literally pacing in front of our table. So much so that my boss asks him if he is ok. Of course he brushes the question off stating hes fine while reaching for the.silverware on the neighboring table. Opens it and takes thr napkin while shifting his weight from leg to leg, clearly a nervous wreck.

    Then... He just walks away. I try and ignore him, but I watch as he does a lap around the restuarant. Mostly just a cluster of tables and boothes, making a full circle only to come right back to our table, finally sitting.

    Oh my gosh! It takes everything in me to not bust up laughing at every turn. What a fucking dork. Your so intimidated by little ol me?!?!?! Who youve known for more than 10 years.

    I cant help but tally that to a win for me!!!

    Ugh! Lost not one, but two of my work notebooks. Annoying.

    Been contemplating hitting up an old friend who has recently been online and letting her know whats up and why I havent really tried. Im sure shes wondering. The thing is, im tired of trying. I understand shes been sick, but does that mean she can check out entirely and its up to me to keep the friendship going?! I feel bad, I do. But it goes both ways sweetheart and I feel like shes expecting a lot but giving nothing.
