I stole this jumper from my Nan yesterday. It's right good.
Right, so. I told you things were happening and this is the booth in which I tell you about them.
In December I applied for a programme to study in China and last Monday I found out that my friend Matt & I had been accepted. This past week has been a mad rush to find funds and get visas sorted etc. We've needed to find £600 in 11 days and it's been pretty difficult and hectic. Not only have we had to find the money for the flights we've had to book vaccinations, pre-departure briefings and shuttle bus; send off a million forms; get a business visa from the Chinese Embassy and sift through countless travel insurance policies.
Not only that, but I went home on Friday to be on BBC Radio Shropshire as they wanted to talk to me about myself, programme, what it entails and how I came to be on it in the hope that their listeners would have the potential to sponsor me. I got snowed in on Sunday night so got an extra day with my family and it was lovely! So far nothing really has come of that but it was only a few days ago so my fingers are still crossed.
Matt & I have a meeting tomorrow regarding getting funding from the University from two different avenues - getting out bursary early and getting funded by the International Relations & Education sector of our Student Union so it's all terribly stressful but very very exciting.
Also we've found a house to move into in June, I am going to miss this bed.
