I realise that since this picture doesn't contain my face, it's cheating a little bit, but unlike the last two pictures, I DID take it myself.
This picture sums up all that I loved most about this past weekend and while it's pretty personal, I find it pretty beautiful so wanted to share it; it shows all the things I like most about Helen, the closeness, sharing, creativity.. plus a love of chocolate and a great sense of style. Can't look at it and not feel lucky.
I've got a long history of hating pictures taken of me by other people (I'm one of natures self-portrait artists, I'm always over critical) but I actually rather like this one that Helen took of me.
[Except, of course, that it desaturates out of control when uploaded, I would have thought that DailyBooth would have fixed this annoying bug by now, what's up with their compression systems?]
She had to head home today; I did half the journey with her (up to Plymouth) and then had to say a really hurried farewell to catch a train straight back two hours the other way. It's not nice being apart again, but good times will come again soon, so it's not all bad. Happy and excited overrules melancholy. I'll miss her a lot though, of course.
Do you prefer pictures taken by yourself of by others?
