No really though, the snowstorm here was brutal. Almost 2 feet of snow. I'm a snowboarder, so i'm prepared. The fact that the metrodome collapsed from this storm after being fine for years should give you some idea as the the scale of how much snow we got. Insane.
Started re-playing this game because of the upcoming release. Even though both my DS's don't have a functioning top screen so I won't be able to play the new one. I was able to finish the second one, but didn't have enough djinn to defeat the final boss on this one. On an completely unrelated note.
After work, I ran into a man who told me his car wouldn't start and he needed my help. I couldn't help but be suspicious. It was 10:30, dark, about 16 degrees and very icy. But I couldn't turn him away. It's time like this, the phrase that I always think of, "We're all just people" came into my head. We're all just people describes empathy on the most basic level. The fact that we're all just trying to live our daily lives the best we can. When I was on my way home from college, and the bus driver gave a man a free ride instead of waiting in the cold, I thought, "We're all just people" When that man desperately asked me for help in the middle of a dark, cold parking lot with no way home, I thought, "We're all just people"
I ended up pushing his truck 3 times around the parking lot while he tried to start it without any luck. Before I left, I told him he could go to the grocery store I just left which was warm, had phones, and was open until midnight. He declined the offer saying he would walk and ask help from one of his co-workers. So I left.
