A View of Kathleen:
We are nearing the end of National Midwifery Week 2010 and I'm terribly sorry I didn't DB everyone to wish them all the best.
A little food for thought for everyone:
Do feminists need a "coming out" day?

It's that time of the year again.
That's right, AUTUMN!
Apple orchards, pumpkins, the ascetics of dying nature, Halloween and (usually) the best weather of the year.
Oh October.
PS: For all you UMichers, this week is mental health advocacy week.2 commentsOctober 6th, 2010

A Not-View of Kathleen:
I'm double boothing because I'm like that. I'd thought you would all like to know that am pulling my first all-nighter of the term.
Also, for all you Americans, October is National Arts and Humanities month. Check it:

A View of Post-Shower-Late-Night-Studying-Freaking-Out Kathleen:
It's been some kind of night:
-There are strange drilling noises coming from my neighbor's apartment.
-I lost my rubric for my French paper due tomorrow. That'll be a nice one to explain when in office hours an hour before class tomorrow. I didn't so much loose it as clumsily force it out of my reach. Allow me to explain, my dears. My desk isn't up against the wall and I had a stack of papers riiiiight on the edge, with my French rubric on top. Then the unthinkable happened. The papers flew off as I grabbed for my coffee and the one paper I needed slid in to the great abyss that is the heating vent. Gone forever, I should say.
-I have a history of art exam tomorrow for which I need to read about five hundred pages, memorize various dates, look over lecture notes and peruse power-points. I have yet to do these things.
- I have been introduced to the greatest phrase ever spoken. The monumental utterance occurred during the FemDems meeting today (technically yesterday, if I may be so snobbish and precise) in which a fellow FemDem said "Pro-choice makes me moist."
It's nearing 2:00 AM, I'm hoping only to stay up until 4:30 AM. I'll leave you here, DB.
Bravo if you stayed with me during that whole post.
PS:
This is what I look like when I'm towel-wrap drying my hair and freezing simultaneously because my landlord refuses to turn on the heat.0 commentsOctober 5th, 2010

You know you're hanging out with @rachaelxoxo when you have a diet coke and were given free dinner.
I went to a wedding this weekend. I'll have some of those pictures up soon for your enjoyment and my embarrassment.2 commentsOctober 3rd, 2010

A view of Happy-Banned-Book-Week Kathleen:
I hope you're celebrating.
In other new, FemDems have forced me to conform and I now have a twitter account. What is the world coming to?
I'm off to study with @rachaelxoxo. Long night ahead.0 commentsSeptember 27th, 2010

A View of Banned-Book-Kathleen:
Happy Banned/Challenged Book Week, everyone!
Celebrate by reading/recommending your favorite book (because if it is of any merit, it's probably been challenged). Maybe not, but celebrate anyway.
Thumbs up for literature and for just coming back from a Take Back the Night/University Students Against Rape meeting.
Everybody have a productive Sunday and check out this link:

A View of Sex-Positive-Kathleen:
Guess who spend the day passing out condoms and demonstrating how to use them as well as female condoms and dental dams on charming little dummies in the center of campus. Really, once you got passed the outraged parents, people were very appreciative. Also, my favorite overheard snippet of the day:
Person one: Damn, that girl really wants people to use condoms.
Person Two: She's sex-positive.
Person One: She's sex positive with an exclamation point. I like that.
Thank you, sir. I like you too and so do all the other members of the Sex-Positive Student group.6 commentsSeptember 24th, 2010

A view of Crash-Kathleen:
My best friend came to Ann Arbor today to partake in Take Back the Night with me. We spent the better part of the day trolling the city, going out to dinner and laughing harder and with more passion than I have in a long time.
Unfortunately, what goes up must come down, as they say. I go from utter, raw euphoria to a total crash and burn in a matter of moments.
Any of you lovelies have any cheer-up tools?1 commentSeptember 19th, 2010
