15/03/2012: Deleted the last blurb, and the next.

    Y'know what?

Doing DailyBooth is tough, especially when each day is on repeat.

    Roll on May 8th.

Any particular dates you're waiting on?

    14/03/2012: Hello again.

    A few things, really:

    - I now own a 2011 Hyundai i10 in "carbon grey". Not the car I wanted, but it has wheels and it's basically new with a lengthy warranty, so I'm sure I can cope with this disastrous turn of events.

    - The presentation that's been haunting me is due in two weeks and it's almost done. Feeling a lot better about it.

    - Basically broke, but hopefully that'll be rectified soon.

Otherwise. Nothing new. Dissertation due in just over a month.
    Sure students worldwide can sympathise.

    Something you sympathise with people?

    06/03/2012: Car, money and Morrison's.

It's been an expensive few days. Had Chris' birthday on Saturday, which was awesomesauce. Some of his presents are still on order and I paid for a lovely dinner at Frankie's and Benny's.

So that was all well and good, but then Sunday morning came. My car caught another flat tyre, which turns out to have a cheap short-term fix and presented an annoying long-term problem which needs sorting asap. So... due to severe corrosion I need to replace all four wheels on my car with new seventeen inch alloys that will fit my tyres. >___>.

The £21.30 charge to put my tyre back on wasn't accounted for, and I'm literally scraping the barrel of my bank account now. Earning money this weekend hopefully. £70 I think, which will be a godsend to get me through another week. I've resorted to buying the cheapest of EVERYTHING when I go shopping. Then again, Morrison's "Savers" range is VERY good. Managed to do a full shop for myself with snacks and crisps for under £10.

    Overall... been better, been worse.
Quite enjoy living life on the edge like this, despite it's stresses. Makes you realise how much you can get out of little amounts of money.

    Wow, bad syntax.

Do you drive? Had any problems with your car?
Of course you have. Cars are invented for the soul purpose of emptying your bank account whilst developing an emotional bonds!

    02/03/2012: Bloody presentation, and home.

You all know about that presentation I have due at the end of this month. It's driving me insane. It's meant to be a group project. So far I've done all of it. Of course one group member has been ill, and the other just doesn't like me, but it's demoralising. Had the group tutorial meeting yesterday, and I was the only person to turn up, obviously. Was warned about doing all the work and overburdening myself. Meh. Was meant to met the girl who doesn't like me today, but just didn't turn up. I had to FaceBook her to see where she was. Didn't even attempt to stop me wasting my time. Saw her outside my house later on waiting for another housemate to take her to a gig. Had to be civil.

Anyway, I'm home for work tomorrow. You lot haven't seen this room before. It's my brother's old room. He moved out just before Christmas and left behind a gorgeous desk and chair in his room, which both Dad and I use. The chair is possibly the comfiest car I've ever sat in.

This white shirt looks creasy, doesn't it?
Usually wear white as an undershirt, but hey ho.

Had any stresses in life lately?

    29/02/2012: THINGS... and stuff.

Bumped the dissertation to 3100 and something today.
Found some books in the library which related to a dreaded presentation, which I have a meeting for tomorrow morning. Unfortunately my housemate who's in my group is really ill isn't going, and the other girl refuses to use my phone number or give me hers, so I'm probably going end up going on my own and improvising.

Should've done more work than I have this evening, but an awesome film with Robin Williams was on Netflix, so me, Lauren and Chris watched it.

Now I'm off to make a thing! YES. A THING! :D

Last film you saw? Last thing you made?

    28/02/2012: Rhythm.

Found some sort of a work rhythm again. Bought some music last night and setup an automatic bank transfer to help with saving. Wish I hadn't bought one track, but the other has been on repeat all day:

    Icarus by Madeon: http://soundcloud.com/madeon/madeon-icarus
He's 17, French, and ridiculously talented. What more is there?

Spent an hour in the Student's Union with Jess today too. We've both been struggling with work lately and decided to meet up. Managed to get over the 3000 word mark on my dissertation, which is decent.

Made a post on tumblr last night too:

    27/02/2012: Research and meh.

My bedroom is indicative as to how things are going, if you ever need an accurate indication. Right now it needs tidying. Definitely being cleaned before bed. A cathartic exercise like that might help me sleep.

On March 29th I have a presentation. Doing extremely well with it right now, although yet to see what my two work partners have produced. I have faith in them. For the presentation I'm planning to use a visual aid I used last year, but re-jig it for the topic at hand. Tutors on the module are aware the aid is of my design anyway, so it'll be fine. As long as I get a B- I don't mind. My average is higher this term anyway.

Found myself bogged down in research too much today. Part of it is not wanting to get back into the full swing of work, and research is somehow an escapist method that is also productive. Almost like reverse perpetual motion sort of thing? That probably made no sense.

My day has ended on a low note as well. Since getting onto the PGCE I've been trying to think of ways of getting more experience during term time. Offered to do workshops in two schools and had no replies despite many promises, and also offered to do tutoring, which I was actually really looking forward to but has been postponed twice.

I feel like fate is slapping me in the face a bit.

    Tea of coffee?
If not a hot brew: Drink of choice?

    25/02/2012: Sleep?

Had very little sleep this week. Down to a combination of working late, housemates not taking keys with them on nights out, and general restlessness in bed. I have work tomorrow morning and was hoping to get an earlier night than usual, but my body hasn't switched off at all.

Since I'd done a little work I decided to make new matching wallpapers for my iPhone and MacBook. I'm weird like that, but it's awesome when they match. I TOLD YOU. I'M WEIRD.

    Show me your desktop/phone wallpaper?
Brownie points for whoever can tell me what my wallpaper is.
p.s. Colours in this are totally messed up. WARM MUCH?

    22/02/2012: Glasses, Ovens & Writing.

Our microwave went ka-put two days ago. The oven we have here is terrible. It's not fan-assisted, so everything you put in it burns. I could only take one night of chargrilled food. A housemate bought back a microwave-oven combi last year, so everyone just used that and it worked a treat. Today I reserved a Value Range Toaster Oven from Argos, only to have mum tell me we had a recently acquired spare microwave-oven at home. It ended up being cheaper to drive home and get it instead of buying the toaster oven. This microwave-oven is a beast like you wouldn't believe.

Whilst I was home today I dug out my spare glasses. The one I usually wear (in my hand here) are still in one piece, but the cracks in the lenses are getting bigger and the frame wobbles about a lot more. Considering they're a £300 pair of glasses I'm not willing to take my chances. Besides, my spares are a newer pair and fit a litte better.

This evening has consisted of coffee and small doses of work. Done a rough 500 words for a continuation of fan-fiction I'd written a few years ago. I'm hoping it's suitable for an academic module on fiction.

I told myself I'd have an early night tonight since I've not slept well recently, but I had a sudden craving to write lines for a presentation that'd due at the end of March. Early-bird much? Yeah, that's me. Guarantee I'll still be finishing it off the night before.

Prefer to take your chances with things or be careful?
    p.s. Hair isn't styled. It's flat. What is this I don't even..
