Today's topic? Romanticism, obviously. 1477 pages of it. Writing a 1500 word essay on William Blake. Don't actually mind it. The word count is small, I know what I'm looking for on JSTOR and what I want to write about. Due in for 7/2/12. Easy (he says).
Here's a song:

Someone Like You by Boyce Avenue.
Other than feeling content, there's not much to say.
Considering I've felt absolutely shattered recently and had little motivation, today is good. So yeah, on with the essay!
Oh, I use tumblr more often now:

*awkward DailyBooth smile*
So hey, my feeds are working again.
It's weird seeing stuff on my dashboard.
What's new, DailyBoothers?
P.S. Anglia Ruskin University gave me an offer for a Primary PGCE. I'm training to be a teacher, don't'cha know. WINNER ^_______^.17 commentsJanuary 24th, 2012

Get, get, get, get ready. http://is.gd/UGxmco
Guarantee nobody's going to like that mix. People on DailyBooth don't lean towards anything overly electronic.
Odd few days. Waves of feeling ill, nervous, ill, nervous, agitated, ill, nervous, unsettled, nervous, and so on. Nothing's happened, bar some messes with the Admin Dept. at University and STILL not hearing back from my PGCE choice.
I've said a few times to people recently: "Come May I'm home to work full time for the summer and then either go to University to train, or find another job, a proper job." Now either of those scenarios is fine when I think about them, I don't mind. It's just thinking of actually being there, doing either scenario, and what's got to happen and be submitted and revised between now and then.
You could call it losing your sanity, or doing a degree.
Same deal.
Needless to say it's made go all "Urgh I'm just crap, aren't I?"
Of course I'm not, I know.. I think (that's a lie).
A-, B- and B- so far this year, so that's good news at least.
Good news guys?15 commentsJanuary 19th, 2012

Bought a new jacket today, £15 in the sales. Really like it.
Song of the day: Domino by Jessie J:

First chapter of the dissertation is done, feeling a little relaxed.
Considering turning my Tumblr into a DailyBooth style blog. Take a picture with a blurb everyday on there. Might be fun, and nice to be able to post other things on their at the same time. Central hub.
Thoughts on that idea, and the jacket?20 commentsJanuary 17th, 2012

Sure I've had a picture of each room I've lived in at University. This one is by far the best. Last year's was the most homely, but I spend less time in this room. Always keep it tidy, but my housemates are social and I get on with them, so I actually spend more time out of my room unlike the last two years.
Most "stuff" that I own is in here, bar some clothes, books and games I have at home. During University I've sold most things I own. Including: Mountain bike, several computers, clothes, wallets, iPods and phones. Reduced it all down now. iPhone and MacBook are the only two pieces of tech I use and need now. Shifting my larger laptop onto eBay today, and keeping my Acer netbook as a spare in a draw. Come graduation I hope to clear out everything that I don't need from home, so that I could probably pack my life into two or three boxes.
It's been another tidy tidy sort of day.
Do you tidy much? What room do you sit in the most? Show me!10 commentsJanuary 10th, 2012

Deciding to booth random things to keep momentum.
See here, this is my first car. I call him Trevor. He's a Renault Clio MK II (Phase I). At the time I was very lucky to find him, as the dealership was in Wolverhampton, but he was very well priced. Insurance and tax have been manageable. Since 2009 I've had one flat tyre and had to replace the front brake discs. Not so bad really. Nothing too damaging to my wallet considering the benefits of owning a car.
Owning Trevor has meant I've been able to see my boyfriend every week, spend New Year with lovely people, make some money and go to University and have some freedom to learn about life (and literature, I guess, considering it's my degree ands stuff).
I have a lot to thank this car for. Come July I'll probably have a new car. Going for a Toyota AYGO, Citroen C1 or a Kia Picanto. Haven't quite decided yet. It'll be gunmetal grey whatever it is.
Car history guys and girls: GO.
If not, tell me your views on cars, or what you'd like to own.
p.s. Another photo by me. I should open an art gallery. Trollol.30 commentsJanuary 4th, 2012

Here's what my MacBook's desktop looks like. Took the picture on the London Underground myself and edited it with Snapspeed: all on my iPhone. Quite proud of how it looks, bout special mind.
Can't say I feel amazing right now, various reasons. DailyBooth isn't working for me at all. All of my feeds are empty and saying people I follow aren't doing anything, but other people's accounts are fine. Essentially I've been booted out of my own DailyBooth account until it's fixed.... Anyone else had problems recently on here?
Show me your desktops?
(I still get notifications, so I can hopefully reply).
Unfortunately this means I can't be as active until it's fixed.17 commentsJanuary 3rd, 2012

Don't I looked THRILLED.
I'm completely zonked. Eventually I'll have used every other word for "tired". It's almost a stock response to "How are you?". I'd finally got used to the rhythm of things lately. Get some dissertation writing done, family do the rounds in the hospital and nursing home, work, repeat.
Today has thrown another huge spanner in the works. I was woken up as I heard "Oh. My God" being repeated downstairs. Good news came later as I sold my PC tower on eBay. Sent my MusicMagpie parcels off, so hopefully £30 will be coming my way from them. Had a haircut (trim) as well. Been niggling at my dissertation and I've ended up with a rewrite of the first fifth. Arguing with yourself is tough.
Tomorrow I'm off for New Year, firstly to Chris and then to London to see Steve and Sue. Sadly enough I have another 2000+ words to write in that time, but it's all my head, just need to find a way of getting it out.
Seriously need a breather. Stressed out as fudge (partially self-induced). University might be a break from it, dissertation permitting.
When were you last thrilled, and what/who about?6 commentsDecember 28th, 2011

Yet to master this webcam. I SHALL TAME IT.
Typing this under pressure as my battery has eight minutes left. I feel like I'm defusing a bomb. Well, that was a small exaggeration.
Though a friend once said to me:
"I like to try and stop the microwave on 0:01, just before it beeps, it's fine. it's makes me feel like a bomb defuser, innit?"
Give me an amusing analogy? :D
@tismrwells @manek43509 I am expecting a sea of pun-tastie analogies to swim in. A SEA I SAY, A SEA.6 commentsDecember 27th, 2011

Post-Christmas usual tidy up.
1. Don't ask about the top panel: I have no idea.
2. HOORAY FOR PANORAMIC.
3. Err.... there's no three. Whoops.
Tomorrow I'm off to the Apple Store in Highcross since I have a Genius Bar appointment. Otherwise, possibly meeting friends for coffee afterwards alongside some dissertation work
Oh, and randomly, I used MusicMagpie today. £30 (and thats without some stuff I wanted to keep). Chuffed with that. Wrap them and print off some free post labels tomorrow and Bob's yer' Uncle.
He isn't your uncle? Oh. Awkward..
Last awkward moment you experienced.12 commentsDecember 26th, 2011
