My MacBook may or not have broken. Thanks heavens all my work was saved online, and that my netbook is synced with all said files.
Booked a Genius Bar appointment for Saturday. Have an inkling on what's wrong with my Mac, but for once I'm going to leave it to those more capable. If they can't do it for free then I'll attempt the home fix I have in mind. A real shame though, I'm gutted.
When any Windows-based machine I've owned has gone wrong I'd go into a fit of rage, blame the machine, hate Windows and curse everything Microsoft. My MacBook is different. The last few months have been a pleasurable experience. It's been rewarding and intuitive, and I trust it. My machine is 5 years old and customized, so I factored this in when taking a calm breath when it bust.
A shoddy end to an otherwise okay day.

Handed in an assignment today, and haven't done much else. Could feel blood pumping around my head earlier, which made me realise how much I've been pushing myself, probably.

There's a small list of things I should be doing amounting in my head, so I'm gonna try and get some stuff done. Had a nice half-day doing very little, relaxing I think it's called.

The bulb in it blew last week, and it's one of those cheapo ones where it's cheaper to buy a new one, and less hassle. It's on the list of things.
Anywho, today's been a busy one. Car is in the garage again, this time they've claimed to have found the actual problem, that being the driver's front side drive shaft. Waved a blind eye to them and just said "Fix it, whatever." As long as the ABS light doesn't come on when I get it back, its fine. It's becoming a major hassle now, getting the bus and scoring lifts back to University. Ah well, I'm here!
Had a haircut today too. Short on the sides with a teeny trim n top. Different cut to the usual. LOVE IT. ^_^. @lilybet SEE, I LIKE IT. Got it cut for my passport photo, since I applied for my first "adult" passport today, which cost £85. Yeah... that's a few purchases I had planned down the drain. NO MATTER! Didn't need that stuff anywho.
So now I'm in my room with gentles waves of kick drums and triangle waves, unpacking clothes and about to make my bed. Love the feeling of a fresh, clean duvet. Mhmmm..
Annoyances in your lives lately? Mine's the car, obviously.
I don't have much to say. Do I need to? Personally, I don't think so.
Life has been lovely lately, normal, thrown a few challenges at me and given me some satisfaction for my efforts.
Soo...... let's get it out of the way. Who had snow? How bad? What did you do? What did you make? How's life been treating you all?
All packed up for the weekend. 4 hours of seminars and I'll be off home. Life at University has been a little stressed lately. It'll be good to get away for a few days, clear my head and hopefully finish off my essay.
Coffee and literature.
It's been my morning, day and night today.
Cranked out over half of an essay this afternoon. It's actually a really good draft too. Found 15 books in the library, used about 5 so far. Only a 1500 essay, but you can never do enough research.
Anyway, my Uni house is really weird right now.
Housemates are acting really shifty around me.
The car had to go back to the garage today. ABS failure. If it didn't have ABS it wouldn't fail an MOT, but since it does... A little frustrating. Only because I've had to take the bus today and will have to tomorrow to get the car back. #firstworldproblems
Shaved as well, because that's important. Mainly for tomorrow. Want to look presentable for Granddad tomorrow, whether he recognises me or not. That's the hardest thing to stomach. It's possible..
Woke up and had my car's tyre changed at 8am. Fine. Good. Then sent off my old laptop to its buyer. Postage cost £7 more than I though. Alright. At least it's done. Then coffee with @SarahJaney, @jakeman27 and Richard. That was really nice.
Finally drove to Chris at 2pm. Stopped on the way for the loo. Dropped my iPhone onto a large stone/rock. FFFUUUU-- You can't see it, but I got away with a screen scuff that shows up badly. Also got a chip in the glass above the bezel, off the screen. Got off lightly considering how far it fell. So that totally killed my mood. Rather upset. THEN, after having had a lot of money spent on my car my ABS light comes on and my brakes had a fit. OH MY GOD FFFFUUUU-.
Yeah. I'm surprised I'm smiling right now.
Chris cheered me up though, so yarp.

p.s. Look to the right of the green light on my iPhone's screen. That mark is the scuff. It has dirt trapped in it so it's way more visible.

Should have my final assignment grade from first term today. Otherwise I have two seminars. One on metaphysical renaissance poetry, and the other on the theme of slavery in Romantic poetry.
Not a fan of Renaissance poetry and/or seminars.
Still, needs must. I start at 1pm, so need to a shifty on.
