    @california2 actually no, it's because they put soooooooo much money into their athletics program and of course everyone is a fan because they're good. it's so easy to like the best teams. i guarantee you wouldn't like penn state if they weren't good.

    you have to be a true fan to root for a team that will never contend for a national championship.

    WMU beat Iowa in football three years ago, at Iowa. WMU beat Illinois in football two years ago and those bastards wouldn't even play us at our home field, we had to play it at Ford Field. And WMU should've beaten Indiana this year, if not for a fumble right before we would've scored to win.

    @BSockzTy notice how Michigan wouldn't play Central this year? They knew they would LOSE so they wouldn't. Central had the best team in football in Michigan in 2009. And I agree about being a true fan - MSU has seen plenty of losing seasons and I would NEVER root for any other team. I am a 3rd generation Spartan, my blood runs GREEN.
    @California2 Been to California, my dad used to live in LaJolla; but he passed away two years ago. My stepmom now lives in Murietta, but don't get out there very often. Where in California do you live?

    and if we're gonna talk about grades, wmu is one of the top aviation schools in the nation, rated better than the Air Force Academy.

    @spar10amy haha yeah! i haaaaate central, but i'll admit they're pretty damn good.
    and i'm glad that you're a true fan! i can't stand all of the fans from here that don't like western cuz they're not as good as michigan or state. it's so stupid, there's a division 1 college right in their backyard, and they don't go to games.

    @california2 Im all for teams like Penn St playing a team like Western or Central, if the big 10 is so dominate why wont they play regional teams that have decent records for their warm up games instead of shit teams.
    @BSockzTy I will never repeat this, but I root for Western in all non-mac conference games.. lol

    But I agree, when ever they game Kelly/Shorts stadium they were just obnoxious and unsportsmanlike even though I'm sure our student section was much worse haha.

    @spar10amy I am so happy you said CMU was the best football team in michigan this year, they really were. Better than the lions probably lol.
    Im a U of M fan though last nights game was awesome, Michigan doesnt have a player like Kalin Lucas, that kid is awesome. As proven by Sims missing a tip in to win the game. Although I would honestly have to say that the Spartans won that game on Michigan messing up not by being the better team overall.

    @BSockzTy I love student sections, but like ones that are decent and not douche bags.. Like in High School I was like the "Student Section Leader" and it was tons of fun. But you do have me on the key play thing, Centrals fan base abuses the shit out of that. I get annoyed with it very quickly.

    @BSockzTy Haha in in High School a few of my friends and I would creep the other teams players facebook before the games and pass out sheets with like their favorite bands and stuff they didnt like and whatever else we could find on their and like sing songs by their favorite artists or like use that stff against them. It was hilarious..

    @OshKosh_B_Josh I agree with you 100% about how MSU won that game against Michigan the other night. I was forced to listen to it on the radio so I couldn't actually see the game, but from what I heard it was not one of MSU's better games and it WAS one of Michigan's better defensive games. Last night went to Pistons game...THAT was just plain sad.
