Extend a hand of Welcome to the Feisty and Yellow booted Super Hero @Static_Scream!!! We are shadowing each other, just for security reasons...
The Picture is of a Manhole cover and a Seagull, both found in Island Bay of Wellington. The Seagull's a Red Billed Gull, and I'm pretty sure these are protected by the Maori.
Thanks to an incident long ago where the birds were disturbed by some raiding warriors, and made such a fuss that the local Maori were warned and consequently lived to claim that the birds carried the spirit of their ancestors, and they should be given due respect.
I recommend everyone should go and have a look at @Sketch and her enormous pencil, she looks like a bunch of fun :)
