So add a month + of not-being on DB, a new commitment to organization and boredom and here's what you get! Super desk! The only time my desk was ever clean was my freshman year when we had to hide it in a random closet because my dorm was too small for it. The rest of my room is awesomely orderly too. And I'm not hoping for it to stay this way. I know it will stay this way. I'm posting this to remind me to keep truckin' in my attempts to be organized :)
So, I got my first Bible when I was twelve when my mom put me in a Christian school. It was a basic blue leather NIV bible. I read it on my own at night and put notes in it and all kinds of stuff.
In the summer of 2009, I lost it at a youth camp. I borrowed a friend's for a while then gave it back. I used Bibegateway.com until one of my grandma's friends gave me a bible but it was a chunky NKJV with awkward print.
I got fed up and went to the Christian book store, which I never visit, and there was this GORGEOUS Bible for ten dollars! I love it so much and have been reading it throughout the day. I missed having the Word with me all the time. Just stopping to read it before class and taking notes really makes my day a thousand times brighter and even that doesn't convey how happy I am. God it so good! <3!!!
Jesus took Randy Miller, the drummer from the Indie-Christian band The Myriad, home to Glory a long fight against bone cancer. It's sad he had to go, but at least the pain is gone. The band members are committed to taking care of his wife and kids.
