I got the job I had an interview for the other day! (Did I mention it? I can't remember... It involved making a Liverbird out of paper in 5 minutes XD )

Happy happy happy times :)

*complete change of subject*

Me and my friends were talking about names last night, about middle names and which one we prefer and stuff. My middle name is Hannah and I think I prefer it to Sarah, to be honest. What's your middle name?

Or, if you don't want to give out your middle name on the internet, what names do you like? I like Agatha or Pearl or Katherine for a girl, and Henry, Sebastian or Rupert for a boy. (If you can't tell, I like posh-sounding names :P )

    Well done! :D *congratulatory huggle*

    I don't like giving out anything other than my first name online, sorry. :)

    I actually haven't thought about names for a long time. I'm quite fond of names that you don't hear very often, such as Melody (I'm reading a book in which the main character is called Melody, that's why it came to mind xD), or even my name. *big headed*

    I know, I thought of you while I was writing my blurb - you're the reason for the second question :P
    I love unusual names. Unfortunately Sarah is very average - I know about 10 Sarah's :/ (As the linguist, should there be an apostrophe there? I'm dubious...)

    @crimsong19

    Thanks :)
    Ooh French!

    @Grekwood

    Thankyou ^-^
    A K? Er.... Kevin? Kristian? Keith?

    What kind of job did you interview for? Never in an interview have I had to make a paper bird.

    My middle name is Dawn, along with almost every other American girl born in the 1980's.

    What is that apostrophe doing there?! Since when did we use apostrophes when pluralising a word, missy? xP

    @Sazmerelda my middle name, sadly, is Dennis (my father's first name). I've always wished it were something more exotic like "Diocletian" *grin*

    @MartyToes my grandma's first name was Petra, too!

    It's a job working for our student guild, so I'll be working in the shops/bars they run.
    The building a bird thing was supposed to be a team-building exercise I think, we were put in teams and given 10 minutes in which to plan, where we weren't allowed to touch any of the materials, and then 5 to assemble it!
    (<-- That's a Liverbird over there by the way - they're the emblem of Liverpool or something :) )

    @MartyToes

    I actually love the name Petra. Legit.
    I think it's because it's like Petrova (like from Ballet Shoes), and also I like it that it's the male version of Peter, because it means "rock", and "petrified" means turned to stone, and I like Biblical names, mostly because mine is one haha
    /cool story

    @the_who_ru

    I don't know D:
    I think it's because of the semi-silent "h" at the end, and the fact that Sarahs just looks plain WRONG... Possibly because it's very lazy grammar to pluralise a proper noun...)

    @rastrosus

    I'm sorry, but Dennis will forever be tied in my mind to Dennis the Menace from the Beano XD
    Diocletian is pretty cool though! I like names from myths and legends as well, like Isolde, Emrys, and Ophelia (though Ophelia is technically Shakespeare, but not the point haha)

    @sazmerelda but @the_who_ru is right: Suppose it wasn't "Sarah" but "Heather" you were talking about; then you wouldn't say "Heather's" you'd say "Heathers" -- which, incidentally, is a classic teen-angst movie (from back when *I* was a teenager!) starring Christian Slater *grin*.

    Haha, I know, it makes sense grammatically!
    It just looks really wrong to me for some reason >.<
    Je ne sais pas XD

    @the_who_ru

    Oh EPIC FAIL there totally should have been a parenthesis before "Possibly"...
    *facepalm*

    Was gonna ask you what a Liverbird was, but I just saw you uploaded a picture. :P

    I don't have a middle name, but most people just consider my chinese name as my middle name. Though I like Alexander and Kyle as a middle names for boys. No opinion for girls.
