The League was founded in 1989 by Dana Beach to protect the natural environment of the South Carolina coastal plain and to enhance the quality of life of our coastal communities. The League has four offices located in Charleston, Columbia, Georgetown, and Beaufort.
The Coastal Conservation League is a grassroots non-profit conservation organization backed by 5,000 members and thousands of online activists.
CCL's mission is to protect the natural environment of the South Carolina coastal plain and to enhance the quality of life of our communities by working with individuals, businesses and government to ensure balanced solutions.
