@mistermister My essay was pretty suck up. I studied Modern History in High School and my topic was on the last 50 years of Computer Hardware :P So it was basically this happened in this decade and it allowed this and this is why it was awesome, rinse and repeat 5 times.
He apparently does different topics every year. Last year I believe it was TED based. Also let me know who you are so I can wave at you around Uni :P
@BrettasaurusRex If you can I recommend going to Uni (however I am slightly bias). It is more theory based but you do gain a greater understanding of everything in general rather then learning specific skills which is generally what happens at TAFE.
In other words it will be much harder but you will be more thankful when you come out at the end.
I am a third year Computer Science student at Curtin University so if you have any questions about IT or Computing or Higher Education in general, let me know. I should be able to answer them :)
@BrettasaurusRex Haha! Don't think about it that way. Granted it is easier to get 100% in computing/ mathematical/ sciencey units as you just need to fulfill all the outcomes. However as long as you put the work in and are passionate about what you do, then you can get incredible marks.
Also don't worry once you get over final high school exams and you get into Uni and doing something you enjoy doing then life in general gets a lot more enjoyable.
