25th January 2012 - This event's too good to not 'booth about...

You get to see my bedraggled, tired and grimy post-sport self in this, but I don't care because I'VE GOT MY ULTIMATE FRISBEE KIT! :'D Granted it's just my team top so far, but isn't it lovely?! I adore it so much! The other tops and shorts are still in various places (customs, Spanish ports...) but yayayay, first bit of official Ultimate kit for me :D

21st January 2012 - New posters :D I had to get Stiggy because who doesn't love him? :'D And the little cat was a must too.

Had a pretty good week; the house, for all intents and purposes, is sorted out for next year (a story for another time is the undecided housemates that I'll be sharing it with...); I handed in my Economics report and I've sorted out travelling back home about half way through the term to see the family and ManCreature :'D

I saw Tinker Tailor Solider Spy last night (which was pretty good, however you'd have to have read the book to know what was going on with it) and saw Top Girls theatre production today (which isn't my cup of tea, per se, but it was entertaining nonetheless). And tonight I'll be watching Don't Be Afraid of the Dark at midnight, which I can not wait for.

So yes, it's been good. Working all day tomorrow, joys. It's sort of nice being back at Uni on reflection.

15th January 2012 – YAY WASHING :D First of this term. It is unnecessary to ask why I'm wearing my washing basket :P

So one week done already at Uni and two exams passed in Maths and Economics (88% and 80%, respectively) (#blowingonestrumpet) and I’ve had a pretty good time with seeing all my mates, catching on news and NOT FEELING HOMESICK (YES! :D).

Yet there’re two things that aren’t so great right now, but I’ll spare you the details. Suffice to say I’m pretty pissed off a select few people due to lack of communication, laziness, stubbornness and general lack of organisation and motivation on their parts. This has caused me a heck of a lot of time picking up the pieces left by these people and sorting out everything. The silver lining to this situation (since there’s always one) is that I have now only got three housemates for next year, rather than six; this makes finding a house just got a heck of a lot easier. The clincher is that the world seems to be conspiring against us to find a place we like.

I have a 1000 word Economics report due in next Thursday; its half done currently, I wish I could say more, but time spent on the housing situation means I’ve not dedicated as much time to it in recent days as I would have hoped. Ho hum, still we soldier on. #bravefaceandpositivemind

8th January 2012 - Well, seeing as this is my first 'Booth of the New Year, I guess I can still get away with wishing everyone a very prosperous, happy and interesting year! Well, I suppose it's more like eleven and a half months, if you're that way inclined, so you better make the most of the time you have left! Come to think of it, it'll be wise (at least I think so) to heed the last 11 words of the previous sentence and live your life by them anyway; it proves rather satisfactory as I can conclusively say with my 19.4 years on this lump of rock. ^_^ I quickly come to realise that I'll leave my teenage years behind this year, yet even more shocking is that I'll be 21 next year. TWENTY ONE. Yeah... bugger... where'd the time go? T_T

Anyway, even though I've barely posted at all these past four months, if I had any sort of New Year's resolution (not that I actually believe in having one, seems a bit daft) I would aim to booth at least once a week for you people :) Anyone have a resolution?

That little black and white lump that I’ve very expertly added to my picture is my new kitten whom we got one week ago. This is Quanta Negra. She's around 16 weeks old now and I'm sad I’ve had to leave her to come back to Uni today. I'll miss all her kitten-y playful hours, antics, chirps, just her growing up; already she's grown in the week we've had her, and by the time I get back in the middle of March, she'll be a big cat. I'm hoping I get regular pictures of her from back home to see how she's doing. You are probably wondering what her name means, if indeed it means anything at all. Well, since she's mine I wanted something physics-related, so played for hours with "Higgs" "Quark" "Lepton" "Gluon" "Supermassive-Blackhole" etc. Quanta is the rather conveniently feminine sounding plural of "quantum" and Negra is Spanish for black. Simples :)

So once again I’ve another ten weeks of University and I think this time I'm going to try not coming back home half way through, even though it was nice to see family and friends again, I got homesick again going back up. *Sigh* I suppose I'll get used to this whole home-sickness in due course. I'm hoping it won't be as bad as it was last term, we’ll see how I fare this time around, I’m feeling okay so far :) *fingers crossed* I’m all unpacked and ready (ha!) for work, bring it on Term Two!

30th December 2011 - Hello there Monthybooth, how are you? What, it's Dailyboth? Ah, sorry about that! I've been rather busy and I failed to keep you updated with how I was doing at Uni. Last you'd heard of me I just come back from a pub-golf session complete with pen moustache. Well, I've survived the ten weeks of my first term at Uni! :) Just eleven more terms to go. I've got a significant amount of holiday work, still got a bit of it to do, ho hum, but enough of that dull business!

I spent the first week of my holidays with dearest Mancreature of mine, which was rather nice as I'd only seen him one in the whole of term :) The second week (Christmas week) with my family in Cape Verde for some sun and sand. T'was vair pleasant with a light breeze everyday and to open some Chritmas presents out there.

This week's been a bit of shopping, bit of work, lots of sleep, and kitten hunting, so we can find our one remaining cat, who's rather depressed about this fact, a fluffy companion. With a bit of luck, we should have our reserved kitten, tentative name of Emily, with us next week, just as soon as we have a house check... O_o Sounds crazy, I know.

As for Christmas presents, I was overjoyed with my TomTom GPS for my car :D I can now hear the delightful voice of Jeremy Clarkson when I drive to new places never driven (by me) before :3 I also got this amazing hat from my dearest friend Evelyn and I love it to pieces :D I've also received a variety of books, among which are Stephen King, Simon's Cat book 3 and Woman In Black (Thank you Gahks!). Last most notable present was some Marmite Chocolate; I KNOW RIGHT?! It's lovely!

I wish everyone a lovely New Year's Eve celebration, whatever you're doing, and a very prosperous 2012. I hope you achieve success in everything you do.

3rd November 2011 - Because sometimes you go on pub crawls, because sometimes you do dares for extra points, because sometimes you really think you should grow a moustache and goatee.

Well, since my last 'booth, I'm doing well at Uni, really got into the student lifestyle, living off Tesco's basic food and doing far more hours of work compared to hours spent sleeping. Yes, these are the best years of your life, I can say that without a doubt already :D

I'm already half way through my first term at uni, it's crazy how fast the time has gone!

7th October 2011 - Well, it's been five days since I arrived at Warwick and it's going well so far. Suffice to say I've been homesick, miss my family and Mancreature hugely, stressed with the new people, place and routine but now that all seems to have all passed and I'm feeling just spiffing :) I can only hope it lasts xD

As you can see, I've purchased posters for my room, two of which are indeed Monty Python basesd <3 I've made some great friends, I shall give a shout-out to Garks, who incidentally has a radio show on at seven this evening, so if you happen to be on your computer, go give him a listen: www.radio.warwick.ac.uk/listen :D

I'm looking forward to the weekend ("because it's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday..."), I've not got much planned aside from getting a flu jab down in town and, very excitingly, doing my first load of washing :D I'm not kidding when I say I'm excited about that, really!

2nd October 2011 - Hello from Wariwick Uni :D This is my room, which is pretty bare-walled at the moment, but I'll get posters in the nest few days for it :) I have a very decently sized room at the moment and I've made two friends already :D AND THE INTERNET IS SO FAST OH MY GOD <3

I have a nice little en suite, the shower's pretty good and the kitchen down the hall's new and spacious, though it appears to have already been taken over as the pre-lash room *sigh* Looks like late dinners for me if I don't plan to go out and party, but I've got some pleasant kitchen-mates nonetheless.

It's been a good day to move in, warm and sunny; the whole car and roof-box load of my stuff all went away neatly and without fuss in my room, couple of bits that I realise that I don't need (if you're so observant to have spied the few boxes over my right shoulder) and I've shotgunned my cupboards in my kitchen, so all is well in Rosina's World

Now, since it's one in the morning, I shall be off to bed zzzzzzz

1st October 2011 - This is it, Dailybooth, this is the last night I spend in my room, for tomorrow I'm off to University! :D I've been waiting weeks for this day and now it's here :)

I have to say, I think I've over packed slightly, but it's all fitted into the car and my room is rather empty in places. I'm both excited and nervous in equal measure for tomorrow. I'm going to miss home and a little trepidatious about living by myself for the next ten weeks :S

Ah well, here's to new beginnings, new friends, new beds and adventure, cheers!

Any how, I started packing and organising stuff to take to Uni today, and I've come to realise just how much stuff I've taking up :/ I booked my bike in for a service too ^_^ I've done the very organised and me thing and made an Excel spreadsheet of my spending and expenses that I rack up now I'm a student; so far it looks good, hopefully I stay sane of mind and mindful of money xD

My absence on Thursday and Friday is to be attributed to me going down to see Mancreature-dearest of mine in his Unilet house and having lots of snuggles :3 I'm really happy that he's settled in well and made some really good mates so far :) I kinda wanted to go to Uni at that point but alas, I have another week to go yet -__- And Saturday? Erm, yeah, laziness, sorry about that :P
