Today was a very uneventful day. Spent most of it working and then took about two hours out to do a blog post on a very interesting (weird and disturbing and slightly sweet in a scary way) programme called "Virgin School" which you may peruse at your pleasure here: http://wp.me/pOJZS-1Y

Hello beauties. Feeling a billion times better today :)
First of all the Ashes to Ashes finale was super awesome which put me in a good mood. Also spent most of the day on a project I have wanting to work on for a long time but it took a fair bit of planning and research etc. You can find said project here: http://historibloguk.wordpress.com/ and there is an explanation on the welcome page about what it is. Not everyone's cup of tea but a passion of mine :) PS: I'll still be updating my other blog, this one is purely for specific factual posts, the other is my errant ramblings :)

Mother Duck things are not going well. The Nurse reassured me that this bandage would not have any problems with seeping. That was less than twenty four hours ago. Guess what? Seepage. I know. Attractive. All this shit is making me feel 102 and like I should go live in a bin. Okay. I'm sorry. I know I'm being self absorbed again. It's just, after yesterday, I thought my leg was getting better. It's not.
You know what else. I love my internet friends more than my IRL (In Real Life) friends. Know why? Because if I hear another "when your leg falls off" joke I'm not going to be able to pretend it's funny any more. You lot just accept my bad mood and move on. I appreciate that.
DRUGS. Wondrous, magical, life saving drugs. As a result of copious amounts of Ibuprofen I am part way to being back to my usual form (take that as you will, good or bad). The leg is still gross and hurts like hell but it's not as a sharp a pain as before and as a result I am feeling much less melancholic.
SO my change in mood has left me less self absorbed and more interested in all of you!! What have you been up to these last two days?
So this is the update burn-wise. Between eleven o'clock and midday my leg swelled up to double it's normal size. Then the pain began to get the better of me. It then became evident I had underestimated the enormity of the burn when my skin started peeling off...and wouldn't stop. When we saw the fat layer we peeking through panic set in. I was at college at the time so it was off to the Boots clinic where I got it bound. The nurse applied a dressing and said to come back in two days unless it started to seep through the dressing. Less than half an hour later it started to seep through. We think it may be infected, the nurse as well as me and my friends at college. Updates to follow.
Pictured is my leg. My finger is pointing to the MASSIVE BURN MARK I obtained last night. Message? Don't leave heated hair styling equipment on, forget it's on and then put your leg on it. The results are not positive.
Now I've grossed you all out I can witter on about my day. I had the day off to look after my brother as the parents had to go to hospital so no college for me, instead ABJECT BOREDOM. Watched The Tudors (yes, I am obsessed by that show), spoke to @Crispy about stealing old lady's oranges, spoke to @timelapse about boobs and Over The Rainbow, watched Desperate Housewives, moped and then here we are.

Wasted pretty much the entire day. Got mad at everything continuously in one of what I call my "woman moods" which is essentially me using my sex as an excuse for being moody. Good grief I hate happy people.
*EDIT* Twenty minutes after posting this I burned my leg on my straighteners. The burn is massive. I feel like I am living the FML dream...
