So, I've got a sock hop tomorrow, and this is the only thing that I could find that even barely fits the style of the 50s xD

For those who don't know, a sock hop is basically a 50s style dance; poodle skirts, greaser/leather jackets and all.

The only problem? I only have a red tie and a black tie, so you should suggest a color for my tie (I have the opportunity to buy another tomorrow, the red/black ties don't cut it with this outfit). The jacket is a light tan color, and the pants are dark khaki. SUGGEST.

I haven't taken a picture in a LONG TIME, but here I am!

Yes, my hair is short. Yes, I like it. Yes, I'm supposed to look like David Tennant... Sort of...

Mission: Buy a pinstripe suit and brown trenchcoat. I already have the Converse and hair (although it needs to be thicker)

    :D

QoTD: Have you ever been into vlogging? Maybe you've vlogged once or twice, but never got that into it? Or maybe you regularly vlog?

    *Noms ice cream*

So, nothing [exciting] really happened today. It was my step-dad's birthday, but all we really did is cook out. It was delicious though, I must say that :D

I've decided to start a blog, so that these won't be so long. I mean, they'll probably still be long, but not THAT long :)

I also filmed a vlog today, so that should be up shortly :)

QoTD: What are some of the latest fads in your area? Did you give in, hate them, or just not care?

QoTD #2: Seeing as my Dailybooth blurbs are SOOOO long every time, should I start a blog to vent some of it before posting my picture, and just link the two accounts? I'd still have the QoTD on both, but they wouldn't be soooo long all the time.

So, today was a good day for 3 reasons:

    1: It's Friday
2: I went after school to hang out with my girlfriend all day
3: I bought THESE! They're [insert brand name here] bandz!

I put the ambiguous "name" because there are LOADS of brand names that are the same thing: They're rubber bands that form to different shapes (trumpet on the left, clarinet on the right) and no matter how much you stretch them, they reform to the exact same shape as before. IT'S AMAZING #ALLCAPS

So EVERYBODY at school has them, and seeing as they're much more awesome than "tec-decks" or "gimp string", I decided to give them a try. I found the music pack and fell in love <3.

QoTD: What happened today for you? Was it something awesome, sad, happy, boring?

So, 3 things happened today, Dailybooth:

1: I finished my 6th driving lesson. I get to double up next Thursday, and I'll be finished, which means I can finally get my LICENSE!

2: Our school jazz band had a concert at a community center. Most of it was old people ("This piece is titled Get It On" "we're too old for that!") but I was still nervous (2 solos). I basically sucked on one and did okay on the second one.

3: I found out the the Harry Potter Theme park is, once again, a possibility! I thought that the offer to buy the tickets ended April 30th... NOPE! It says 6/30, which, in my tired state, I thought meant April. Silly me. This gives me (and Justin) a whole 3 months to come up with the money, vs 10 days.

QoTD: Will you be doing NaNoWriMo? Does it sound too hard or kinda easy? Do you think you'd be able to meet the deadline if you did it?

Another baton / wand pose, because I'm just unoriginal like that :D

So, today was an okay day. I passed my Africa test, failed a math quiz, both of which were expected, and I bought some organization stuff, such as a calender, sticky notes, and a small memo pad.

I also filmed a vlog about NaNoWriMo. For more information on why I'm doing it and what it is, you should totally watch the vlog and comment on it ;)

QoTD: Do you get jealous easily? What are you usually jealous about?

So, I'm COMPLETELY jealous of @bevinkathryn, because she is going to Infinitus. Soooooo many awesome Youtubers and musicians and fandom people are going to be there, but alas, the tickets are too expensive for me. I mean, I'll be at the theme park DURING Infinitus, but I won't be going to it...

P.S. This is my new [conductor] baton. @bevinkathryn thinks that it is useless and superfluous, but I like it xD

QoTD: What's your goal for the next couple of years, if you have one? (Do not say "survive 2012" haha)

    Conducting!
    I'm bad at it

Anyway, tomorrow will be the first time I ever conduct in front of the entire band. I'm kinda scared, but excited, seeing as my goal is to become junior drum major (and eventually senior drum major) junior year.

I finished my essay and I know all the locations of the African countries, yay me!

So, today's been a rather boring day, time to find something exciting to do :)

QoTD: Do you believe that memorizing countries and capitals would ever benefit anyone in the real world, especially with the advent of mobile internet?

So, today, I revised my essay on the Internet (YAY!) and memorized all of the countries of Africa, to my own disliking. So far, we've had to memorize the countries (states) and capitals of America, Canada, South America, Europe, Russia, and now Africa. I don't remember a single one of these locations or names, so I don't see the point of it.

Why learn something like the capital of Rwanda if you're probably never going to go to Rwanda? And even if you do go, is it really that useful to be able to say "Hey, the capital of this place is *blank*!"?

Anyway, I woke up at like, 1PM today with an extreme stomach-ache. I shouldn't have had 3 plates of sesame chicken (SOOOOOO DELICIOUS) and 4 bowls of ice cream (EVEN MORE DELICIOUS) last night... Oh well, I'm feeling better now :)

BTW, I posted a new vlog, check it out, comment, thumbs up and such.

QoTD: What do you believe your purpose in life is?

Sorry that you can't see it, but it's a fortune, and it says "You enjoy giving gifts of yourself to others, you will be rewarded!" This fortune cookie literally made my day =D

So, today, I got off of school (after conducting class) and went to look up some Doctor Who stuff. An hour later, I fell asleep, and didn't wake up until 7. After all this, we went to a Chinese buffet called New China Buffet (original, right?) That's when I got this fortune :)

All in all, I believe that this fortune is right. I DO enjoy giving gifts of myself to others, whether it be physical or emotional help.

Being there for people is kind of what I do, and I can't help but reiterate that to my friends. If I'm unable to lend myself to someone and help them, I'm kind of a nobody...

Robert Shepley is a 17 year old male from United States.

About

Hmm... What about me... Well, I love music, I love Harry Potter, and I love life! I hate Twilight and Justin Bieber though. I can't stand them.
I wish I could live in either Britain, England, or Ireland, but sadly, I can't. That would mean moving away from all of my family and friends.
When I get to college, (3 1/2 more years?) I want to major in music education and, although the idea of aspiring to be this may seem odd, I'd like to become a high school band director.
