I'm running riot with my new theory these days. It is my belief that EVERY British actor was in either "Harry Potter", "Doctor Who" and/or "Love Actually" and, if they weren't, they have worked with someone who was in one of the three.
So far, every name thrown at me has been hit back with proof of a link. Even the bloke from the Cillit Bang advert is linked.
Bill Nighy is the only person I can find who was in all three.
I will take any suggestions to find someone who does not fit this pattern, please let me know if you think you've got someone! Or am I right?April 19th, 2012

Today's booth is something I was thinking about whilst working on my dissertation.
In a nutshell one of my main discussions is about how we each portrayed different versions of ourselves in daily life, for example you would present a different self at your job around co-workers than you would around friends.
But, keeping this simple, online is where many of us represent our 'true selves'.
But with the with the rise of multiple social network platforms we may have also started to develop other selves in order to fit into each platform, which may be sub-groups within our true selves.
This is my small representation on how each 'space' might bring it's own variation to the content we upload.February 19th, 2012

The new @throwboy thank you cards just arrived! How great is this artwork?!
Each order we ship out includes a thank you card and a matching limited edition pin (badge). And all the artwork selected comes from a different independent artist.
The matching pins should be arriving this week and then I'll post better pictures on the Throwboy blog http://throwboy.com/blogJanuary 5th, 2012

Having a bad face day, so you get this. Sorry.
Might be going to @Femmie's later if my mummy and daddy stop being grumpy long enough for me to persuade them...
So, 2011. What a year it turned out to be.
As a planet, we deposed cruel leaders and dictators, started a lot of fires (both metaphorically and literally), decided that nature wasn't that great after all when we realised it could overpower us without any hesitation, realised that it wasn't nature's fault and showed our humanitarian sides, spent so much money that the entire economic structure of Earth collapsed, wore ridiculous clothes and made some bloody great headlines.
As a nation, we rioted against nothing in particular, stole things that belonged to everyone, realised that other countries have it worse than us but didn't actually care, produced some truly rubbish music, got rid of The News of The World at last, saved an elephant, gave away too much money and spent even more on Boxing Day and started realising that maybe we can't afford the 2012 Olympics after all.
As a person, I met some amazing people (in no particular order, @redbubbles, @milliej080, @RawrItsShannon, @Sarahxxlou, @Paigefaith, @beckie0, @MileyThropp, @Femmie, @DaveTreadwell, @ffionnn, @helloghost, @Spiffical, @The60ftOctopus, @tumblebard, @hazelaine, @Harplady93, @zoeawesome, anyone else I've stupidly forgotten to mention!!), some not so amazing people, written some poetry, written a screenplay (120 pages and counting!), had a complete mental breakdown, attempted suicide twice, started taking responsibility for my actions, come out, had two relationships, moved into my own flat, bought five pets (Matthew (RIP), Gus, Emilia, Sophie and Peggy!) and realised what's really important.
You.
If you're reading this, then you're important. If you're not reading this, you're still important, but someone else will have to tell you, I'm afraid.
We can make 2012 the year in which things finally go right, if we decide it's worth the effort.
Hope everyone had a great 2011, and Happy New Year to you all :)

So, that was the year that was – 2011. What a rollercoaster that one turned out to be! What stuff will we take with us from here:
The creation of Southern Sudan, the New Zealand earthquakes, the Brazilian floods, the Tunisia uprising, the Egyptian uprising, the Libyan uprising, the earthquake and tsunami of Japan, the Libyan civil war, the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, the killing of Osama, the Greek debts, the Chilean volcano, the world’s first artificial organ transplant, terrorist attacks in Norway, the final Space Shuttle mission, the London riots, faster than light travelling nutrinos, the population reaching seven billion people, the official end of the Iraq War and Samoa losing its final Friday (Friday, gotta get down on Friday…)
The deaths, sadly, came thick and fast this year and we lost Gerry Rafferty, Pete Postlethwaite, Elizabeth Taylor, Osama bin Laden, Jack Kevorkian, Betty Ford, Amy Winehouse, Steve Jobs, Dennis Ritchie, Muammar Gaddafi, Joe Frazier, Gary Speed, Kim Jong-Il and Vaclav Havel.
And we were certainly busy at the cinema too with the arrival of the final Harry Potter, as well as endless sequels: more Hangover, more Pirates, more Twilight, more Cars, more X-Men. However, in the realm of new films, we gained Sanctum, Gnomeo & Juliet, Red Riding Hood, Sucker Punch, Water for Elephants, Thor, Bridesmaids, Horrible Bosses, Another Earth, One Day, Contagion, The Ides of March, In Time, The Muppets, Hugo, My Week With Marilyn, The Adventures of Tintin and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
And as for me? I started the year being made redundant and end it back at my original company, two promotions later. I may not really have gone anywhere this year, but I’ve become more confident, developed myself and worked out a little more who my true friends are and, indeed, who I am. I suppose I’ve been frustrated but mostly, I’ve been pretty happy. I read 66 books over the year, from old classics like “The Time Machine”, to brand new novels like “Grow Up”. I’ve learnt a lot from the books of the year and I intend to try beat my record this coming year.
And I can’t leave without a mention to @ByronsWorld. Thank you, mister, for everything.
So come on 2012 – made it a good one. You might be our last chance!
And if you’ve made it to the bottom of this… what will YOU remember most from 2011?December 31st, 2011

On 30 December, 2011, due to a change of time zone, the day is skipped in Samoa and Tokelau.
#TodayInHistory
Samoa jumped time zones and moved its clocks forward by a day, bringing it in line with Australia and New Zealand. The move in time zones came two years after the island's government switched the side of the road on which Samoans drive from the right to the left.
Samoa's Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi wanted the change in time zones to make it easier for the South Pacific island nation to do business with Australasia, according to reports. He claims Samoa is, in effect, losing two business days every week with the region by being on the eastern side of the date line.
Samoa, located approximately halfway between New Zealand and Hawaii, was 11 hours behind GMT, making it one of the last places on the planet to see out the day. The change in time zones, which took effect on December 29, has made it among the first of the world's countries to greet the dawn. Prior to the change, the time difference put Samoa 21 hours behind eastern Australia and 23 behind New Zealand, the change puts it an hour ahead of Wellington and three ahead of Sydney.
The decision to move Samoa east of the international dateline was made 119 years ago to bring the island closer in line with major trading partners in the US and Europe. 'Our trading partners have dramatically changed since and today we do a lot more business with New Zealand and Australia, China and Pacific Rim countries such as Singapore,' observed Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi. The prime minister has also suggested the time zone shift presents a potential tourism boost to Samoa, with visitors able to spend their birthday on the island, for example, before crossing the international dateline to American Samoa and celebrating all over again.
'So you can have two birthdays, two weddings and two wedding anniversaries on the same date - on separate days - in less than an hour's flight across - without leaving the Samoan chain,' he explained. 'We are looking forward to working with American Samoa on capitalising on the sort of tourism this change could garner.'

Rizal Day in the Philippines
It is also:
National Bicarbonate of Soda Day
National Bicarbonate of Soda Day National Bicarbonate of Soda Day, or Baking Soda Day, celebrates the many benefits and uses of Bicarbonate of Soda. Just how does Baking Soda work and what, specifically, does it do? Few people seem to know. It's quite simple. We will skip the chemistry lesson and how Baking Soda is made. Let's just talk to what it is, and what it does. Bicarbonate of soda is a chemical compound - sodium carbonate or sodium bi-carbonate. When heated, it creates carbon dioxide, a gas. The gas aids a variety of bakery products to rise as they cook.
Many people just think of Bicarbonate of Soda as something you use for baking. But, it has so many more uses. Here are just a few of them:
• Helps baked goods, like bread, to rise
• Relieves stomach indigestion and heartburn when mixed in water
• Removes odors in the refrigerator, vents, storage areas, and closets
• Removes odor in kitty litter
• It is used in fire extinguishers for grease and oil fires
• It is often used as a cleaning agent
• It can be used as a meat tenderizer
• Put it in water with beans to minimize flatulance from eating beans
• Polishes Silverware
• Removes burned food from a pot or a pan
And, the list goes on, and on, and on...
