I'm not perplexed by Christianity, but a Christian perplexed by society and civilization in general. I was tempted for a time to be in despair, but II Corinthians 4:8 says re Christians: "We are troubled on everyside, but not distressed be; we are perplexed, but not in despair.
Distributist: Neither capitalism nor Marxism have worked. We need an economic system that will be equitable and not lead to undue concentrations of power and wealth.
