I cannot wait for this week to end. *Rushes*
Keywords : busy, training, sleep.
Thursday was unpleasantly cold inside our office, many colleagues wore their coats inside.
It is ridiculous how this week of work has drained me, from unofficially coming in and leaving slightly late, to people dumping things on me since last week that I may not even have began yet. I have basic life support training this afternoon; it is being held in my hometown, this morning’s early arrival will be making up time so that I do not have to go back to my main base for the last forty minutes of the day. I wonder if I will sleep through Friday afternoon/evening/night and straight into Saturday..?
The family car is four years past its use by date, it is all patchwork parts and running on fumes. Hence our family periodically pushing my father to buy a new one before it dies; whilst eating dinner I researched the Kia Rio for him since he seems to keep coming back to this car. It depends on how far he is willing to travel to try/buy a car, with his current search area there is a stranglehold of one car lot.

Television calls.
Keywords : television, petitions; work.
A bit behind everyone else, (as usual), I found out earlier that ‘The Secret Circle’ has been cancelled. Whilst the acting was wooden and the plot a bit choppy, I enjoyed what I have seen. I wanted more Chris Zylka. :( ‘Once Upon A Time’ has officially been renewed so I look forward to that, the first season is still airing on Channel 5 over here. For petitions to save ‘The Secret Circle’ see these links - http://bit.ly/JajMAL and http://bit.ly/Ke5ujn . I am unsure how much sway they will have, (perhaps another service will see the reaction and pick it up?), but it worth a try if anyone is interested.
Another busy yet productive day at work, identifying amendments, setting up codes and making checks. I feel that a meeting everyone else was dreading cultivated more understanding within our team of how the department functions, and the importance of our roles in facilitating this. Having received generally positive feedback I hope to tackle the upcoming changes better than previously expected. You know, before I leave. Screaming for my sanity and freedom. ;p

Another late one.
Keywords : busy, holiday, application; tired.
Another busy day, I am left without any energy for myself. Work really has been hectic, to the point where I had to take it slowly towards the end so as to make it to the end of the day – people really are demanding when they want to be. At least I feel useful and productive. From the car journey home my family pestered me about holidays, then my brother grabbed me for over two hours to go through his job application and various things. *Yawn* It is difficult to handle life when there is no time to myself, so I ended up hiding in bed and falling asleep, (the internet was screwy and therefore not a distraction, ha, ha).

Mmm, full fat milk and hot water bottles.
Keywords : stomach; job.
Another upset stomach but no time off, just a lot of rest after work; I am blaming coming into contact with someone who “just got over” a stomach virus yet seemed ill still. Add in the fact that I keep scratching myself up without realizing and my body is at a low ebb. This constant lack of wellness… it never used to be this way. *Sigh*
I have agreed to help my brother fill in his job application form tomorrow and whilst it should simply be a case of me checking it once done, I have feeling that he expects me to tell him what to write. It is for a Saturday job at our local library – hence a certain amount of controlled jealousy. Since it is the first job that my brother has actively sought I am holding myself back from applying, (even though this opportunity is something that I wanted for a few years now). Darn it, being the elder brother sucks.

Is the weekend over already?
Keywords : reading, eye-strain; pensive.
I have realized that not sleeping is pretty easy when there is something worth reading, books have a kind of thrall that resists attempts to circumvent them being read. Tonight will not be able to finish ‘Thin Air’ but I am over halfway through already. A weekend of reading… *Semi-bliss* The problem is managing eye-strain; staying up until after 5am in the morning left me a bit drained.
A break led to spending part of the day admiring the wind and the clouds; having been on such a literary ride on the weather-go-round series I have been reminded of the elegant, fragile, powerful forces that take place for the environment to exist as it is. I feel lucky to have enough understanding to appreciate how dynamic the world is. :)

Eep, someone hose her down before she burns from a case of “over-dramatic shot” syndrome.
Keywords : reading, outside; food.
I am marginally proud of myself for reading so much in a short amount of time, it is satisfying. ^.^ Having finished off ‘Heat Stroke’, I moved onto ‘Chill Factor’ and am onto ‘Windfall’. A quiet day, having withdrawn my board and bought food there was little else to demand my attention. Apart from missing out on the meal that I had been waiting for, but let us not dwell on that… especially since anyone who deprives me of food will require a highly skilled doctor to save them. ;p In space-y news it appears that international eyes are on the future of “high” traffic space travel, looking into more efficient ways of getting into space and living in a bouncy castle- I mean, a technological/engineering marvel.
For anyone that is wondering, she died in the previous book and is currently a Djinn, (genie), looking to save the world from disastrous environmental conditions, psychotic enemies and former colleagues. There are more complications to the protagonist’s story but I do not want to ruin it for anyone.

I just wanted to try something other than the old “what are you reading?” or “what is your favourite book/character” question. That does not mean that I will not fall back on them though…1 commentMay 12th, 2012

Look, sunlight!
Keyword(s) : exhausted, Friday; work.
… Plus the heavy bags under my eyes. _._ My computer has been acting up which in terms of my life left one option – lying on my bed until it sorted itself out. Unfortunately it had been such a manic day that I fell asleep before 7pm. On a Friday. *Grumble* These are my work clothes, I did not even get a chance to take them off. I got the main body of work done for this morning, even going in early to make sure, only to be told that this deadline had been cancelled ages ago; thanks for telling me. -.- Now I have to wait over a week to discuss the progress, at least it was understood how unrealistic the original deadline was. *More relaxed* Two colleagues left yesterday, with two more to go this week and probably another in June – rats jumping ship.

I am weirded out by how enlarged my ankle artery currently is. O.o
It must be all of the sugar… I also have huge ones on my hands that freak my brother out. :’|
Home : This has been my family’s most laid-back day of the last few months; (fairly) quiet, no fussing, little activity. The best bits were making a laughable attempt at eating an half-melted Feast and reading cruddy book, (‘Heat Stroke’). I have began getting back into a ‘Pokémon’ routine, although this morning I was too behind in getting ready to play. Once my team can easily defeat the Champion I can move onto breeding…
Moan : There is a work deadline for tomorrow at 9:30am that I might not be able to meet, which is playing on my mind. A lot of additional tasks were given to me since agreeing to it, plus multiple computer/network issues that have beleaguered the department, but it is pointless looking for consideration from people who disappear on *planned* business trips that they did not tell you about, so you cannot explain the situation. -.- I am determined to get it done though, bringing a non-confidential tally home to finish off a minor task, then plan to go in half an hour early to see if I can complete it. Not fun.

Flapjack goodness. :D
Keyword : food, exodus; job.
Everything feels strange at work because more people are jumping ship, (plus I am still not feeling well). In the next month we expect to lose another five staff and the endless turntable of leaving collections/cards has brought it home for people. Unsurprised (whilst curious as to the timing), I am simply looking for other jobs as usual; this time my mother has pointed out a learning support assistant job. Hmm, I am no longer a patient person and teaching should really be done by those who have a passion for it.

An early night tonight.
Keywords : sick; Pokémon.
I found out what it is like to throw up from a headache at work today. Lovely. An aeroplane(?) flew overhead and the rumbling air pressure set off a strong headache/migraine, with added disorientation. @.@ After being sick for the second time I went home, but even after a few hours sleep and then sitting around the headache has not abated. >.<
The good news today is the unexpected Darkrai giveaway Wi-Fi event; it is meant to begin tomorrow for an unidentified amount of time but people are reporting that they can receive the Pokémon already. ^.^ I have also beaten the Elite Four/Champion; it has been more of a slog with my added no-items-whatsoever rule and trying a new team building process.

Question of the day : What do you like to keep track of/up-to-date on?2 commentsMay 8th, 2012
BEN S. is a 26 year old male from United Kingdom.
About
I am bored and childlike. I also talk to myself. There is not much more to say, although you should expect a few long blurbs once in a while.#Not mine - For Pokémon:http://www.psypokes.com/ or http://pkmn.net/. Silly regrets : 2. I do not appreciate people randomly trying to hock their links/videos/pictures on my booth. Please use you own booths for that. I have a strong allergy to 'follow4follow', causing irritation, naming and shaming, and blocking as the main symptoms.
Following them
They're following
Television
My favourite programme is Buffy The Vampire Slayer. DO NOT criticize the buffybot, only the snake obsession. I also enjoy Charmed, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Clarissa Explains It All, W.I.T.C.H., Pokémon, Digimon, anime including C.C.S. (<3), Daria, True Blood, Being Human, Q.I. and female gymnastics. I despise 'reality' shows. I dislike half of the comedians on television, (not that I bother to remember their names).
Books
Again, science fiction, fantasy and manga. I have tried reading a simplified book on String Theory that I do understand but have failed to finish. Terry Pratchett is a genius, although sometimes a little unoriginal. Most of mine are now Japanese study guides.
Music
Anything but headbanging, rapping or R&B. Even a little J-Pop style anime tune can be good. My favourites at the moment are Tsubasa Chronicle's 'A Song Of Storm And Fire' and The Guild's promotional song, (well music video), 'Do You Want To Date My Avatar?'
Movies
Likes : science fiction, fantasy, anime. Certificate 15 or lower. Things that are emotional but light, fluffy, and visually beautiful. Dislikes : Harry Potter films. Yes, you heard me right, they annoy me. Unfortunately they have been shown so much that I have ended up watching the first four because it was so confusing seeing snatches from each, then having my family make jokes about me using references that I did not understand. It turns out that they were not funny in the slightest.
