Since I am bored, do you want me to tell your fortune?

This set was in a bag near my radiator, that is close enough to body heat, right? I say that as you are meant to keep these close to you for a few weeks before using them and I have been holding onto them for two hours. ^.^* You can guess that I was a weird kid who liked this stuff, not believing yet enjoying my imagination firing up. Over the years it has been ancient Egyptian deities, geology, witchcraft, a brief look at religions, dream interpretation, divination… All fun concepts but only geology had any real substance to it, (which is why I became bored of the constraints). Desiring a hobby other than Pokémon I am thinking of picking up old ones, giving them a try, then moving onto new ones. A proper go at languages and html would be the most financially promising…

Today I was able to get my brother a large card, although it seems a bit tasteless. :/ There is nothing that springs to mind for a present so my intention is just to pay for Saturday night out, my parents want to take him somewhere. I have been intending to buy another external hard-drive, (yes, I am easily pleased by electronics), purchasing a 3TB one this morning from Argos. Since reading your own fortune is said to bring bad luck it will be a case of hoping for financial gains to help my savings recover. There really ought to be a cherry-blossom shrine to go to around here, ha, ha. Anime may have inspired this booth for the umpteenth time, with the word of the day being a derivative of a word used that I had not heard in a long time. It is good to be reminded. :)

Link of the day : Another addition to graphene’s repertoire - http://bit.ly/x7uOC0 ; a step in the right direction - http://bit.ly/xu8AS8 ; saddened that I missed this - http://tgr.ph/wkoAwM ; starbursts (not the confectionery) - http://bit.ly/AsiQYb .
Word of the day : Garrulous - http://bit.ly/12ArVG .
Weather of the day : blanket cloud, very cold, damp, mild breeze; 2°C.

Question of the day : If you could really find out your future, would you want to know?

    @ODDBALL YES. FORTUNE.

By languages and html, do you mean coding languages or languages in general? Getting into html at the moment, still in the starting phase though. (also, I just got a 2TB yesterday. haha)

@hopscotch I did it in earnest. Remember to take it all with a pinch - *cough* bowl *cough* - of salt. This is from the horseshoe spread, giving the set up towards the future. Since the last card laid down was the inverted II of Swords, the future relates to seven months away, although with it being a Winter card the last outcome may not occur until then.

    1) Ace of Pentacles - good foundations for your future, there was stability/security of some kind.
    2) (Inverted) The Devil - you are currently in a state of freedom and possibly overcoming bad habits, (or beginning to).
    3) King of Wands – A sturdy man, a bit old-fashioned in his upright nature, is a good influence for your work ethic. A good advisor and passionate in bed, (maybe you did not want to know the last one if it is a lecturer, ha, ha).
    4) (Inverted) The Heart - Your impatience and turns towards loneliness are the obstacles that you need to overcome, try not to disregard advice from those more knowledgeable than you, (even if they annoy you).
    5) Those around you are going to dislike the changes going on, bringing bad memories with them.
    6) You need to keep your insight and understanding to achieve a hopeful future, although as with everything you might find that the good things coming to you are not what you expected. Look after your health, it should be pretty easy.
    7) The outcome card is pretty negative, it may just be the delayed consequence of getting things sorted - a bad patch before getting on with your life beyond this reading. There will be a malicious stirring up of trouble, being betrayed by someone that you trusted. Being indecisive could allow this to happen so be on the able to get through it.

Pretty generic stuff, eh? Still, it was fun to do. Just be thankful that I am not Yūko Ichihara from 'xxxHolic'. ;)

@hopscotch *so be on the ball to get through it.

Also, I was referring to languages in general, specifically Japanese, German and Russian, (the latter which I have never tried). They are not my forte though. :|

@ODDBALL ooh interesting. Of course, some of it fits perfectly, but I guess that's a given. Thank you though! Very interesting

I'm not sure that I would. Life is a lot like Scrooge found it - the future isn't cast in stone, we can change it easily enough. But if I knew what was going to happen, I might take my predestined fate and give up on trying. )o:

Picking up old hobbies are usually pretty good. Unless they're bad hobbies. o.O But new hobbies are even better. :3 But, personally, I would always choose trying new hobbies because I like new.

    Also... fortuuuuune? :D

I think an interesting way to do this would be for you to read someones fortune but don't let them read it until later to see if there was any truth in it.

I've just started looking free will and determinism in philosphy this morning. Quite an interesting area to look at.

Personally I would like to have my fortune told but would not look to deeply into it. The more you look into it the more you start to believe it wil come true and can effect your life as a result.
