    I am very very ill.
    Came down with a bug as soon as I got to Darlington on Saturday, ruined my night out :( The first half of the happy cats was awesome though, shameless bad dancing.
    Today I managed to eat something, and stood up without swaying! Progress! Yay!

    I have two new holes in my left ear (the two furthest up) and the second lobe also on my right. They burn like hell but it was totally worth it in every way. They look pretty awesome if you ask me.

    This time last week:
    Last Thursday, I was boarding a flight to New York, and my day culminated on top of the empire state building staring out at the New York skyline and wondering if life could get any better. This week looks to be boring so every day I will be reminiscing on what happened 7 days ago in New York- the best week of my life.

    If I'm honest, the 4am start wasn't the best, but I would do it every day for the rest of my life if it meant I could live that week again. I miss the airport, I miss the eight hour flight, I miss discovering the hell that was our communal bathroom, the amazement at seeing Times Square again and the utter awe at the sight of New York from the top of the empire state building. It was the first day of the best week of my life.

    This is us in Heathrow, waiting for our connection to JFK, it was 10 and I had been up since 3 but I've never been so high on life and anticipation.

    This is us, but reflected in a lake. Artsy. Or something.

    I just figured out what the letter on the table was without opening it-
    - My mam's name was first, it's from her side of the family.
    - Named and addressed at different times, part of many of the same thing.
    - Single small sheet inside, invitation.
    - Contextual information considered, it's an invite to the evening do of a family wedding.

    I actually am Sherlock Holmes, but far less sexy than Benedict Cumberbatch who is possibly the most attractive man (and certainly the most attractive Sherlock) the world has ever seen.

    In other news, this time next week will be just over 11 hours until I'm going to New York. Exciting stuff.

    I'm blogging, so I need your help:

    If you could give me one piece of light hearted or basic advise to live my life by, what would it be?

    Stuff like "Have a signature drink" or "listen to a motivational song every morning" type things.
    Just a little life experiment, to live my life by some of these rules and write about the results since I've ran out of ideas for this here blog.
    Hopefully it'll work as well as last time.

    Exactky 3 weeks until New York, woot woot.
    Other than that I have a media essay a week to do, and language coursework deadlines every tuesday which should keep me busy until then.
    I need more sleep, getting suitcases under my eyes. But oh well, can't complain :)

    So now I'm writing 2000 words for tomorrow, because I left it to the last minute again as always. *Sigh*.
