    Just when you thought you had seen it all. This has been a bizarre January. It started out quite normal, except for the very low snowfall this year, then it warmed up, dropped like a bomb into subzero temperatures, then warmed and dropped warmed and dropped, then it rained and it snowed and then just the other night There was a raging warm wind that was rolling the snow up like a carpet and then firing them off like cannon balls. it was fun to watch. Now its back to just being cold.

    Today try to put yourself in your children' s shoes. You think that because you live in a western styled democracy words like oppression, tyranny,censorship,segregation,divided opportunity,class favoritism, fear mongering,deceit, manipulation,exclusiveness,exploitation... are words for placards and tree hugging lefties? You think that because people are not being loaded into boxcars and carted off to camps, any association to fascism or totalitarianism is grossly exaggerated. Well think again! The camps exist their just called tenements and projects. and the absence of state sanctioned murder, does not sanitize the other elements of those years of tyranny. The segregation exists, but now instead of a yellow star it is the rating on your credit report, the murder exists but now it has moved inward where invisible cowardly bureaucrats murder the spirits, dreams and opportunities. The internet as it is structured now presents an opportunity to finally unmask the demons of greed. The open source community Wikipedia being one of them, proves that access for all means opportunity for all. It means that your opinion however obscure or aloof has the opportunity to be heard. It means that you can suceed, if you choose to, and the true model of a free and open economy is yours for the taking. Now like every other element of society today, the greedy tendrils of corporate lobbied government want to deny that free exchange of information, they will not tell you that they will supplant a restrictive fee for the exchange of sanitized information, but first they will set up the border crossings, then they will install the toll booths. Your children will have to pass through those toll booths, your children will be the ones who will be indoctrinated into the state administered propaganda machines. If you do not act today you are enslaving your children. That is the legacy you are leaving with your inaction. Something to think about.

    So I have been working on my latest project, a renovation of a 130 year old farm house. This hallway is quite a task. There are multiple layers of wall paper, but surprisingly the plaster is in incredibly good shape. Back then they took pride in their work, and the notion of cutting corners to save a few bucks was unheard of. I will post a phot when I have completed to see how well I have restored it back to it's beauty.
