Although you can't see it, I am actually playing the piano in this picture - which is why I look a bit weird here...
Today has consisted mainly of learning and charting out songs for a new artist whom I shall be starting work with later in the week (and by "later in the week" I mean "tomorrow") and doing about hours' teaching, of various sorts.
The strangest part of this was turning up at one of the schools I normally teach at, to find everyone else (including all the staff) wearing togas!
What has surprised you recently, Dailybooth?? (Apart from my slightly odd face in this photograph, of course!)
This SWORD (don't worry - it's not real!) was in the entrance to the recording studio where we've been recording the new Witchers album all weekend. So, naturally, photos were in order...
In other news - making the record has been good so far; I'm certain this is going to have an amazing sound once we're done!
I've put a few other photos from this weekend's session up online, and I might post a link here later. Bet you all can't wait for that, eh...?
I wasn't on Dailybooth yesterday (hoping to avoid EVERYONE posting the same tired joke about Star Wars and "May the fourth") but here I am again today.
I rehearsed with Witchers for seven hours today. We're going to be recording our new album over the next two weekends. I'll try to post updates on that when I can, because I know you're all SO INCREDIBLY INTERESTED.
I posted a picture in my dinner suit. No one liked it. So, here is a picture of me looking scruffy and disreputable. You have brought this upon yourselves.
I've been doing theatre work all this week - a local youth drama group were putting on an "Old-Time Music Hall" style production, and I was asked to play percussion in the band.
It was good fun. And it meant dressing up like this every night - which I didn't mind a bit!
I'm not going to take a picture today. Here's one from a recent show with Witchers, which amuses me greatly. (I spotted the photographer coming 'round to side of the stage, just in time to pull this face.)
Today -
I got up at six o'clock to watch the Chinese Grand Prix, which was a fantastic race, and very exciting to watch. Even @tamago_thompson said she'd enjoyed it!
Then I had eight hours of rehearsals with Witchers - the serious preparation for the new album has begun! We pulled apart, analysed, rewrote, and rehearsed songs, and bits of songs, as required. It was hard work - but very productive, and also a lot of fun.
What have you done today? When was the last time you were productive?
