    Technology booth

    Today was an awesome day. I had to go to a multimedia meeting for work, and got to try out the Playstation Move, Kinect and the new I pods. I also got to check out upcoming games like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Goldeneye Remake and the new Guitar Hero. My short thoughts below.

    Playstation Move: I tried out the sports game, specifically gladiator battle, bow & arrow and table tennis. I also saw other people playing random minigames. The movement works well, but to be honest it really didn't feel much more accurate than wii motion plus. The camera that comes along with it isn't exactly the best quality either I must say. Really, there’s nothing wrong with Move, but it’s pretty much another Wii, just with prettier graphics.

    Kinect: I had a mindset that Kinect was going to be something really gimmicky but I've been proven wrong. It's scary accurate and works surprisingly accurate. I played Kinectimals, a raft game, and some sport games. All worked without flaw and movement was spot on. There were a few times where the camera didn't detect the person straight away though. The downside however is that you really need to have a lot of room for this thing. You need to stand about 2 meters away from the screen when playing alone, and need even more room when playing with more people. I also noticed that a lot more people were at the Kinect booth at all times compared to the Move, that also has to count for something.

    Apple: The new Nano's are really small but very handy. It's like a mini I pod touch, with less options ofc, and works greats. It no longer has a camera, but imo if you want that you're better of getting a touch anyways. The new touch now has a call function and a much better screen. When comparing pictures on the new and old version the difference is immense. The one thing that did make me lol is that the guy claimed that Apple is now focusing more on games and they have become the number 1 market leader in handheld gaming thanks to the I pod touch. Uhm, no Apple, no. You've got a long way to go before you come even close the Nintendo, trust me.

    But yeah, I think I'll just leave it at this before I make this wall of text even bigger XD ‘T was a very interesting day for sure =) How was yours?

    Because I didn't know what to booth about today, plus, I took a long nap and haven't been awake for long so I don't look my greatest for a picture =p

    Today was nice, and also slightly annoying. Went shopping in Brussels with my gf, which is fun, and I saw tons of dvds, comics and manga's that I wanted, which is also fun. But they were all in French... which is not so fun >=/

    Seriously, not cool Brussels, not cool at all. Also, really expensive... I saw a Gurren Lagann box and it was like 149 euros... I really wanted that box so badly, especially because it's so hard to find, but no way in hell I'm paying that much money.

    Anyways, I'm ranting and don't got much more to say so I'll leave it at that =p

    Jukebox booth

    So... we have a jukebox now, seems random, but it's not XD Also why the hell am I staring like that in this picture... we'll never know!

    You see, when my mom was my age, my grandma had a cafe, which had a jukebox. My mom always used to listen to albums on it, or dance with my dad there. So pretty much, it's part of her youth, and an important part at that as she grew up with it. She always wanted one, so now we finally have one. I'm not the retro type myself usually but I gotta admit it's actually quite awesome, and my mom is totally ecstatic so I'm happy for her =)

    Still not much news on my side though, really not much going on but that will change soon! You see next week my good friend Sharpy (who I have mentioned in some previous booths) is coming over for a week, and staying at my place. Good manly bro times assured! So expect him to show up in some booths during that week =P.

    As for tomorrow, going to spend some time with the girlfriend, some shopping (oh boi) and a walk in the park =)

    Koopa & Shy Guy booth

    I welcome these 2 new fellas to my small and humble collection of figurines =) In my opinion Shy Guys are are the most awesome characters in the Mario universe. I wish they'd use them more, we don't see them too often anymore, what's up with that Nintendo?!

    Besides that, not much going on today, a very simple quiet Tuesday it's been. I did find this simple but awesome flashgame earlier (link below). It has a Dinosaur, on a treadmill, and he can get a hat. If that doesn't convince you then I don't know what will! If you like to get a highscore it's really addictive, or at least for me it is. Mine is around 74 000. I'm in the top 250 and I want more! >.>

    Friend mail booth

    If I keep it up like this I should be calling this 2dailybooths... I honestly feel bad about not boothing ever day, but it's due to personal reasons, hopefully that'll change soon. I apologize once more.

    So this came in the mail today, which makes me a very happy Jin! It's from my friend Lauria, from America, who saw this magazine, and decided to randomly buy it for me and send it over to Belgium. That's what I call a sweet and awesome friend =) It pretty much covers the whole history of all the Zelda games and more. AND IT HAS STICKERS!!! 8D

    She's not on dailybooth but I do know she checks them from time to time so if you read this, THANK YOU SO MUCH ONCE MORE!!! I absolutely love this =D

    And in other news, I've had several "small discussions" with my boss lately because he's being a total control freak and overall dick. If this keeps up then at one point I know I'm not going to be able to shut my mouth anymore and things might turn ugly. Tbh, for the last half a year I wouldn't even mind if I get fired so if it happens, it happens and you'll definitely know XD

    Yes I'm still alive!

    First of all, I apologize for not boothing every day. Had a little bit of a down time lately. Not sure what's wrong with me cause I've got nothing but reason to feel happy. Pulling myself back together though, nothing to worry about =)

    So I got Metroid: Other M today. I've actually been a fan of the series for quite some time, it's right up there with Zelda for me. I've only played about an hour so far due to time restraints so I can't say much about it yet, but it's not bad from what I've experienced. It's definitely not giving me the same amazing feeling I got when Metroid Prime came out first either however. Then again I heard the first hour or so doesn't give the right impression, so we'll see.

    Don't really have any other news for you, except that after being back to work for a week I feel very tired. Need to get used to it again I suppose, but not enjoying it. I feel like quitting every day more and more but I need a job so yeah, blergh to that.

    Case Zero booth

    Sorry for another late booth. I got distracted by the Dead Rising 2 demo that came out today. If you've never heard about Dead Rising (shame on you) it's about zombies, and everyone likes zombies, right?! If you don't like zombies there's something wrong with you. Maybe you're dead inside, which is kinda ironic! =D

    Anyway... If you're a fan of the first game I can definitely recommend this demo. Sure you do have to pay 400 points but that's a small price. There's a lot to do in it, has a handful of achievements if you're an achievement whore, lot's of weapon combinations, small story, side missions, 4 different endings... worth the 400 points more then enough!

    I managed to save everyone and safely get out, which gives the best ending =) The controls are smoother now as well, especially when it comes to firing weapons which was really poor in the first game. After playing this small preview I'm looking even more forward to the full thing. But first there's Metroid: Other M and Halo Reach, plenty to keep myself busy =p

    Besides that I had a fairly typical day, so that's that =)

    Random booth

    Todays picture was taken during my trip to New York, at the Metropolitan. You can easily spend the whole day there and you still wouldn't have seen everything, awesome place. Especially the paintings were really inspiring to me.

    But anyways!

    Today I also don't really have a subject to booth about, so have a random picture of a notebook that I keep with me at all times. I got it because I thought the cover looked really nice. You could call it a diary I suppose, but I use it for several things. That's why I call it my book of several things, or B.O.S.T.

    Actually no I don't really call it that, I'm just rambling >.> but this is what I use it for!

    - Write interesting things that may have happened during the day
    - Write ideas I get for stories or comics, or jokes
    - Write important reminders
    - Make sketches and little doodles
    - For friends to leave a small doodle and/or writing after a visit
    - Paperweight
    - Try and look cool with it, and fail

    So yeah, I never leave the house without it and it has come in handy quite some times already. I really don't know why I boothed about this today, but now you know another small thing about me =)

    I AM BACK BOOTH!

    Hello there you amazingly awesome DB people! I had a wonderful time but I have definitely missed you guys too! First of all a big thank you to the people who have boothed in my stead. I checked them all and I absolutely love every one of them. You guys did a great job and I really appreciate it, a hand of applause! *yes I'm actually clapping my hands, do join me*

    I've learned quite a bit during this trip I must say. I don't want to leave a wall of text on here however so nows as good as any time to start putting my Tumblr to use and write a good long blog about everything. I'll link next time whent that is up =)

    What I will say here is, that I while i had an enjoyable time, I'm probably never going to go on a holiday with just my 2 brothers again. I love them dearly, but the 3 of us are too different from each other to spend a whole week together. No regrets however! And yes, that's them in the upper middle picture. Me on the left, oldest in the middle, youngest on the right =)

    I also took a bunch of pictures, 1300+ to be exact, but I managed to narrow them down to about 600 now... yeah not that much better, I know >.> I'm going to start putting them all on my facebook so whoever has befriended me there will be able to check them out. You can add me on there if you're a regular commenter. Or if you guys would like it, I'd be ok with uploading them somewhere else for everyone to see, let me know how you feel about that =)

    So did anything special happen around here during my absence? I have to get back up to date about everything! I'm going to start out by catching up with the booths from everyone I'm following. Then I'm probably going to crash in bed because that jetlag is still haunting me. Also, couldn't be more ironic that we had a small 2 year old crying the entire flight back just 2 rows infront of me... just wonderful!
