    Goodbye Booth!

    Sorry guys, but it just doesn't look like I can get into Dailybooth anymore. The fact that the majority of the people I used to watch have come and gone as well only makes me realize it's time to go as well. Instead I'm putting my focus into a blog so I can do more variated posts.

    Explanation Booth

    So, it's been almost a year since you guys heard from me... sorry about that! Looking at the list of people I follow it seems I'm not exactly the only one who disappeared, sadly. Still, for the people who remained active and wonder where I went, this is for you guys. Before I go on I would like to note that I'm not actively returning to daily booths, or at least, not for now. Doesn't mean you wont be hearing from me however! I got plans, but I don't feel like making empty promises, so we'll see.

    Anyways, where did I go you ask? I never really intended on leaving, but it just sort of happened due to various reasons I suppose. Me and Dorothy started to date and you know fresh couples, a lot of my time went to her. Work was also eating up a lot of my time, and if you remember I really wanted to quit my job as it was stressing me out a lot. In general I also started to lack inspiration for further booths.

    So what changes happened during this year? I'll sum them up.

    - I quit that goddamn retail job after 5 years

    And I don't regret it one moment. Instead, I am now currently studying for Graphics & Web Designer and loving it. It's definitely something that suits me a lot more and its one of the better choices I've made in life. Don't be afraid to take action.

    - Still happy together with Dorothy

    I admit I neglected a lot of things and people the first few months we dated, but we've learned a lot from each other and have become quite a good team together. We still love each other very much and we hope to move in together as soon as we both graduate and get a job.

    - I fell 3 meters down the side of an open staircase

    I obviously live to tell the tale. I miraculously managed to get away with nothing but black shoulders, arms and a black very painful back for a few weeks. I didn't break a single bone somehow. I could have well broken my back or neck and been paralyzed or worse. I got a guardian angel out there somewhere, and I'm very thankful for that. I appreciate life a lot more, and complain a lot less now.

    - Traveled a lot

    Greece, England and around the country. Good times have been had with good friends. I saw Batman Live, it's awesome and you should definitely go see it because i told you.

    - Developed new interests

    Such as reading, writing, cooking (I am the master of apple cakes now) squash and a lot of other artsy, creative things.

    - I now like coffee

    Black, with 2 cubes of sugar please.

    And that's pretty much everything I can come up with so far that I deem to be important enough (Yes, that includes my newfound love for coffee). I'd also like you guys to know that I did check this site every now and then because I missed you. Just like I did today, with no intention to write, yet here I am. Most likely my subconscious as I've been telling myself try and do a lot of (new) things.

    That's all that comes to mind for now. I'll keep in touch, just not daily ;)

    Dorothy booth

    For a change, I'm not doing a multi pictured upload. I just wanted to show you guys a picture of me and my girlfriend, cause I know some of you were a bit curious. We've been together for almost 2 months now and things are just lovely. She's very understanding and a good talker/listener. She may not be the geeky gaming type like me, but I'm a very happy and lucky man =)

    As for my day, I spend it mostly on playing Dead Rising 2. I tell you, nothing beats driving over a zombie in a dress on a pink child's bicycle. If dare you find a more hilarious way to kill a zombie, I dare you! The psychopaths in this game are just as fucked up as the ones in the previous game and that's only a good thing. For those who played it: Slappy will never die ='(

    There's still quite a few games coming out in the next months that I'm very or mildly interest in, maybe I'll booth about that tomorrow or one of these days. =)

    E.S. Posthumus/Busy busy busy booth

    So yeah another 3 days without boothing, and trust me when I say I wanted to booth! I just didn't have any time to do them! Been at my own job, helped my dad outside of work, spend time with my girlfriend, had help my brother out with some artsy stuff, went out eating and had a birthdayparty to attend. Now finally some time for myself =)

    So let's talk music, awesome epic orchestrated music, that is! To be more specific, E.S. Posthumus. I've known them for about 2 years now and I only recently realized they had a new album out since february, so I downloaded it today. I absolutely love every single track, gives me goosebumps.

    And because of that, I'd like you guys to have a listen as well =) below my 2 favorite songs on the album, which is called Makara, btw.

    I have actually been aware of Arise for a while, and even have a storyboard for an animation ready in flash, which will probably never be made knowing my lazy ass and limited skills. I absolutely love the build up it has.

    This is really my kind of music, I actually enjoy listening to stuff like this more sometimes then typical songs.

    With that said, I think I'm going to be doing a music week NEXT week. This is just a warmup, need more time to prepare and make choices B). There's plenty of stuff that isn't mainstream or known that well at all, and I'd love to share it. That, and it'll be good motivation to update again on a daily basis! =)

    Pokémon booth

    So yeah, you already know i'm a total geek, if you didn't, this booth confirms it just once more =)

    Been trying out the new Pokémon on an emulator, it crashes constantly, it lags like hell and it's all Japanese so I have no idea what the hell is going on, but it's still fun to play. I'm only playing till the 1st gym though, just wanted to get a feel of the game. Definitely going to get it when it comes out in Europe, it's only a half a year wait...!

    If you want my opinion on the new ones. It's 50/50 for me. Sure there's some lazy uninspired ones, but it's been like that since gen1. There's also some stupid and rehashed ones, but it's been like that since gen2, so really who am I to complain? However there are some really fucked up ones that don't make sense and hell I will complain about those.

    The one that bothers me the most is the one that looks like a trashbag. It's actually a trashbag that became a pokémon due to mutation... it says so in the pokédex. What the fudge is up with that?! Also the icecreamcone one... seriously? I also still can't get over the waterstarters final evolution... it's just... ugh. Afrobizon, Ghostchandelier and Badass crocodile are totally going in my team however B)

    Yeah, a whole booth about pokémon... go me! Jin out!

    Want to learn a little bit more about Belgium in about 4 minutes? Of course you don't, who cares about Belgium! But doesn't matter because I'm going to link you to this movie anyways and you are going to watch it. If you don't bad things will happen to you! And I'm not talking about losing your tv remote again kind of bad. I'm talking about waking up next to a severed horsehead kind of bad, you don't want that shit trust me!

    It pretty much simply sums up how politics work over here. Aren't we a logical bunch?! However don't get the wrong impression, there are many good thing about Belgium too like our education or healthcare, as well as some great food and beer. I quite enjoy living in Belgium, but when it comes to politics and all... yeah, a total mess and I couldn't agree more with this video.

    Really the last few years have been one issue after another and me, among with a lot of other people, are just tired as hell about it. Honestly I couldn't care less anymore if it keeps up. What I will say though is that the idea of wanting to split our country in 2 is one of the dumbest proposals in Belgian history. Like we're not small enough already...

    So yeah, no excuses here, I've just been very lazy (go figure) when it comes to dailybooth. I guess I've been falling a bit out of my pattern, been like that ever since that New York trip, from what I can tell. I'll try and get back to my regular boothing. I assure you though, I wont quit.

    You see, I promised myself from the start to keep this up for at least 1 year. The whole reason I started to use dailybooth is to try and learn to do regular updates, and write more. Hence why I always try and find subjects to talk about. Its all about experience and getting to know myself better, and meeting some new people along the way.

    So in other words, you're not rid of me yet ;D

    To compensate the lack of boothing, Sharpy has punched me in the face, and then stole my delicious Zoo cookies!

    ... Ok the punch actually didn't hit me and he gave my cookies back, but it still counts! Somewhat...kinda, it totally does ok! Besides he has sadly left and gone back to England last Sunday. I'm gonna miss the good times, but more will surely come!

    Back to work as well and we're off to a bad start straight away, so let's just say not much has changed in that area and leave it a that. I've also finished Halo Reach and I think it was a great game really, and I enjoyed the story. I'm actually one of the few people who plays the game for the story in the 1st place, and then the multiplayer. Speaking of that, if you're up for an online game with me, just add my gamer tag: forgetreality. Do mention who you are and that you're from here because I don't add random people.

    Halo Reach booth

    So yeah sorry for not boothing for another 2 days, I totally blame Sharpy for this, it's all his fault. Is it raining where you are right now? His fault! Is the sun shining? Not his fault! World War II? Totally his fault! True story!

    Also Halo Reach might be part of the reason why I haven't boothed yet. Sharpy is actually not a fan of the game, as you can tell. I absolutely love it though, much better then Halo 2 and 3. Feels a lot more real, more variation and all. I actually play it for the story and the world in the first place compared to other people who play it for the multiplayer. Not that I don't enjoy that too but I just love exploring every corner. The New Alexandria city levels for example were amazing, and when you see it go down you actually care about it, or at least, I did. To sum it up, I'm a very happy Jin.

    We've been doing mostly nerdy stuff these few days, like checking up on new pokémon that are getting revealed now that Black/White is out in Japan. We're also halfway of my season 1 dvd of The Big Bang Theory. Went out for a drink with some of my friends which was quite amusing. Went to Antwerp and had delicious Japanese at Wagama's. And now we're singing a long to Dr. Horrible's blog, because we're cool like that B)

    As you can also tell, this is quite an early booth for me, I'm gonna try and do another booth later tonight to make up for it, ok! =D So yeah, it's been a good first half of the week so far, how has your week been? =)

    I now have an English man in my house, he seems displeased. This is my friend Sharpy, he has grown a beard since I saw him last time, I am proud of him. He now reminds me of @Wheezywaiter, which is excellent. Also I don't even know what's happening in the last picture.

    We hope to take many amusing pictures this week, so I guess you can kinda call this Sharpy week!

    Tomorrow we're going to Antwerp, along with my friend Micha from Brussels. We're going to eat at Wagamas, which is a Japanese place. There's lot's of them in England but it's the only one in Belgium, it's also amazingly delicious =) Can't wait for that =D

    2 faces booth

    I dunno why I did this really... but I figured that I haven't used the evil puppy in ages, so it was about time he was in one of my booths again! I really had no idea what else to use as a 2nd picture and I refuse to booth with just a picture of my face alone, that's not how I roll >=(

    Anyways, today was a very lazy gaming day. I played Metroid: Other M for like 6 hours straight, and I have no regrets. I'm just a bit passed the Ridley fight and I have to admit that fighting him was one of the most awesome battles I've had in any videogame, ever. They even used his classic theme song while fighting him which put a big smile on my face because most part of the game barely uses any music, just ambient sounds, which is kinda disappointing.

    I hope to finish the game tomorrow because the day after Halo Reach is out and I know I'm going to spend an unhealthy time with that game already >.>

    Also, my friend Sharps from England is also arriving tomorrow evening so you'll see him in the next booth. If he's not willing I'll just force him 8D
