Ya know what? I was feeling pretty shitty yesterday and moped around quite a bit generally feeling sorry for myself.
I thought about sharing it with everyone by writing something about my feelings but ya know what - I didn't!
And that's good cause right now I feel awesome.
So awesome in fact that -
I'm exploding with goodness and energy - so much that I am listening to music, yelling at the phone, and several other things not pictured*
*vaccuuming the floor with one foot, and writing an mail with the other

Since I've been staying with my grandparents, I've been using the Android feature to turn my phone into a mobile hotspot by tethering my 3G data connection since they don't have a wireless router.
And, considering how I've been working and playing as usual, and using this feature exclusively for EVERYTHING interwebz related, you could imagine how much throughput my little phone has seen.
I was't at all worried though, since I have unlimited data*
Oh what's that? An asterisk? Yea, I wasn't aware of that when I signed up!
Apparently after hitting a 500MB ceiling, they automatically slow you down.
And then let you know by texting you (how ironic, since that's data)
You could imagine my reaction when receiving this in the middle of the night while watching bullshit on YouTube.
Whether or not there was anybody at the other end of that message, I didn't care. They needed to know how I felt about this surprise interruption in my service quality.
Luckily, it will return to regular speed at the start of the next billing cycle in a few days ...0 commentsJanuary 13th, 2011

Got my Ada back!
At just the perfect time, too. Working on my grandparents PC was KILLING me.
Now I can return to being awesome.

I found this letter in Alvaro's kitchen the morning before I left for Boston.
Words can't express how grateful I am to have met him.
He is a prime example of the selflessness and generosity I have encountered during my travels thanks to the Couchsurfing program.
The note read as follows:
"It was a pleasure having you here. Please come back.
Here is the key and leave it in same secret place. Be sure to lock your door (balcony).
Drive safe and I pray to God that this time in Florida will mark something memorable in your life. I wish you Merry Christmas my friend.
Your Latin Brother,
Alvaro"0 commentsDecember 22nd, 2010

Nothing says 'I've been traveling around Florida for a month or so' like stumbling across an uncategorized charge of $32.84 for an establishment described simply as 'Sand'.

We are such funny, assuming creatures - all of us.
Too often we believe that we are in total control of our thoughts and feelings.
We're too confident of our ability, as rational beings with the ability of reason, to understand why we do the things we do, say the things we say, and feel the way we feel.
We're so much more animal than we need to recognize.
Our emotions are mostly nothing more than dumb and simple chemical reactions, commands from our brain to combat the perceptions of situation and environment.
And more often than not we like to extrapolate far too much from that. Analyze it too much. Interpret it to mean something that it totally fucking doesn't.
Our entire mental and physical being is completely dictated by a host of our bodies primal reactions to sensory experiences. We can control it if we understand that, but most people don't.
It clouds our minds, it makes us say and do things when in unusual emotional states that we believe as truth at the time, to only soon abandon when we return to our center.
Far too often, people believe the truth in the words or actions from emotionally elevated people. They let it in turn affect them. And sometimes that affect can be happiness.
A soon to be abject and false thing after normalcy sets back in.
We're such stupid things most of the time. We need to take more time to understand the physical simplicities by which we are so often deceived, which cause us to misguide others of our true feelings.
Understand your state before you commit to powerful words or actions.2 commentsDecember 17th, 2010
