Today I was accepted into the Google Chrome CR-48 Notebook Pilot Program.

I got home and found a package for me on my computer chair. I found it odd since I haven't ordered anything recently. It also wasn't in the signature Amazon smile box. I opened the box and found another box with a crazy diagram of a hamster wheel powered by rockets. Called my girlfriend to ask if it was my Christmas gift. She said she had no idea what was in that box, but it wasn't her gift. She urged me to wait until she got home to open it, further cementing my suspicions that it was, in fact, her gift

When we got home, I opened it and SCREAMED AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS. I was SOOO excited! I kept screaming. She kept screaming. We hugged. I screamed some more. You do that when Google sends you a free notebook.

It's amazing. It's lightening fast. I say it wakes up from Sleep Mode in one second. No joke. It's encased in that awesome rubberized plastic material. The touchpad is a huge button as well, with unique finger gestures that work like browser shortcuts. Many of the keys are different as well to make browsing easier.

All in all, LOVING IT so far. Very excited to work with it.
