Just got back home after playing my first gig with Amalgamate.......could've gone worse but it could've gone a hell of a lot better!

Had to improvise the drums to the first two songs because I forgots em :(

Not bad for only being in the band for two weeks and only having had two practises. Tonight was also the first night I had heard the vocals?

What a cock-up that was! Me and @jedfondle were just looking at eachother in confusion during most of the songs, was quite amusing :p

I have just been informed that @egg has only been away for 3 days......I would say fuck my life but that's a bit of an understatement!

FUCK MY LINEAGE!

I swear I'm going to die in anticipation for her return. Got nothing else to look forward to at the moment :(

Time to bust out the single barrel Jack seeing as my new "special occasion" slot has been filled with a much rarer drink.

It's only available in duty free at the airports!

Tom said he'd get me a bottle of the "silver select" next time he goes away! I nearly mounted him when he said that! :D

Practise tonight wasn't amazing.....

Got every song minus "Soilwork - Stabbing the Drama"

Bastarding timings. I managed to get the djenty song that Amalgamate have with a bloody 5/4 timing but can't get this?

Gah! Soilwork is the bane of my week. Playing it at the gig tomorrow too......all the band guys say is "It'll be fine" Every one of them! Exact same wording and exact same tone....the buggers :p

Nothing much else happened today, smacked my head off the top of an oil oven at work a few times today, keep forgetting theres a bit that sticks down ¬.¬

also got CAKED in crude oil today.....fucking hate that stuff!

Got to change into my new lab coat today though :)

Anyone wants a (clean) lab coat? :p No doubt i'd get fired if someone from work read this!

God!

So much band stuff to be done, so little time.

As well as learning songs for my gig on wednesday, I've had to learn songs for practise tonight with the electro band...hassle!

Fun songs though so didn't mind too much

Lazy sunday's own

Been playing Final Fantasy XIII most of the day so far, still not amazingly far into it but I love how good it looks!

Just dropped off Tom at the airport and now I'm off to learn the rest of the songs for my gig on wednesday!

Got a shot of Casshern from Tom after my long chat in the pub last night with Innes about how good it is and how I really need to watch it.

Any of you guys got any anime I should watch?

I'm in the process of converting mrs @egg into an anime geek.....It's failing a little but when she returns she can expect a nice little anime onslaught!

Old photo on account of me looking and feeling like ass! and because I was drinking many a shot of Sambuca last night.

Thursday was pretty much a generic boring day of work with a pretty cool night in at my mums.

Watched lots of Dragonball Kai!

Fog was a cunt though, could only see two cars in front of me when i was driving out. Totally nearly died on the narrow, curvy road near my mums too :/

Friday!

Last night was fucking awesome!

Met a fair amount of people I hadnt seen since.....well, last friday but i missed them all the same!

Headed to Shaun's before town and made myself a variation of a Blacktooth grin before heading into town and my god! I got reasonably tipsy off one!

Glass half full with Jack, quarter Jagermeister and quarter coke. Crazy shit!

After heading to Korova, I was reunited with mrs @egg again :)

Lost @Laza and Brogan shortly after going inside.

I was drunk enough to dance my tits off though? I hardly ever do that.

Sherrit and Alan were out as usual, the pair of drunks that they are! Couldn't ask for two better band mates :D

After Korova, Eilidh and I got a taxi back to hers for the night. Even though no-one was allowed back and her mum old me not to let her stay out too late.....my bad :/

Her mum totally loves me though! June = awesome :)

Saturday!

Today was an epically stressful day.

Spent all morning in bed with Eilidh chatting and cuddling ^.^

I would've been happy to stay like that for the rest of my days but I had my first practise with Amalgamate at 3. Ended up missing the 1:40 bus and all the taxi's were busy....WTF! Had to phone my mither and get her to pick me up. Got very little practise time before the sesh and thought it would be an utter disaster but we managed to nail 2 and a half songs.

Got 1 more practise before a gig on wed.....fucked much?

Anyways.....Awesome weekend so far, heading out to see mrs Eilidh at her pub and say my goodbye's as she is leaving me for two weeks to go to Malta :(

Was going to pay her a visit but the flights are £450ish for 4 nights....gads!

Gonna miss her to fuck but it'll be amazing when she returns because I have a free house for two weeks and i'm planning som movie nights :D

Missed booth for last night?

Last night was definately an epic fail!

Finished another boring day of work and headed into town to meet Scott for a CD with all of our tunes on it so I actually own them all.

After that, headed out to see @egg ways out in the sticks. @xchickenx was there as usual. Although I've only met Andy a few times, I already consider him a friend. He's a fucking cool guy with damn good chat and my visits to Potterton wouldn't be the same without his face being there!

When the time hit 11pm, I parted ways with my favourite pub and headed into town to meet Scott and Chelsea. Headed to Exo for the AUDS after party. Here lies the major fail....

For some reason Scott and I thought that heading to Exo on Motown night would be a good idea? Bar was packed and we ended up by ourselves almost instantly.

Another fail was the fact that I had thought these people would actually socialise with us. They dance all the time so why wouldn't they when they were out in town? So many questions I wish I asked myself before heading out. Anyway! After 20 minutes of boredom we cut our losses and headed home.

If I could turn back time, I would've stayed at the pub till 12 and headed to Eilidh's where I would've seen @sistermoon for the first time in a while as well as getting to hang out with Eilidh more. Fucking gutted!

The lessons to be learned from this are:

1. You should never naive enough to think randoms want to talk to you

2. If you're having an amazing time where you're at, fuck all non-important plans!

On a happier note! Work today was really fun for once. I spent the majority of the day in a 60 degree oven and it nearly cured my cold :D

Due to the absolute wankness of last night, I was on a fair downer for most of the morning. Thankfully though @egg managed to make me all happy again with her awesome texting and generally upbeat attitude :)

Amusing chat on my facebook then consisted of Davie and I going on about her prize for cheering me up.....needless to say it turned into a conversation about pearl necklaces and spidermaning. Scott was to blame for the inclusion of the Spiderman!

The gym was next on my list of fun activities for the day. Due to lack of time, Tom decided it would be a good idea to super-set everything. Super-setting is when you work one muscle for one set then instantly change to another while the first one calms down. We managed a 2 hour work out in 45 minutes and I'm now absolutely shattered!

Headed back to Tom's/Scott's after to meet the possible new singer for my electronic muse/radiohead/pendulum band. Thank god! We've been searching for ages for a female singer and now we might have one. Band practise on Monday to see how good she is :)

Tom also showed me trailers for some damn fine looking ps3 games but me being me, I've forgotten what they're called...Fuck!

And that brings me to now when I am sitting half naked spouting about all the shite thats happened.

Booth about my weekend!

Better late than never i suppose

Friday night I headed round to Scott's for some pre-town drinks then to Korova with Davie and Chelsea.

Greeted by the usuals and some people I hadn’t seen in a fair while. Twas good!

Won the Korova raffle this time around too. At first I thought I had won one of the free pizza's but I got pulled up onto the DJ booth and I had apparently won the snazzy new 250GB slim line ps3 with FFXIII? Fucking A!

As if one amazing thing wasn't enough, I had a fair laugh when the T-shirt I've owned for years now FINALLY had some female interest. It was always worn as a joke but It was quite amusing when I was walking back into Korova and a girl at the door turned to me and said "Casual sex eh? Sounds good!" Needless to say, nothing happened because of many a reason but the fact there was still drinking time left topped the list.

Headed to Craig’s (my weekend home) after Korova to find he had managed to singlehandedly hotbox his decent sized living room. Pretty sure I managed to fry his baked mind with my incessant ramblings about the night I had just had, Drunk Dragonball Z gaming FTW.

On Saturday morning, I headed to Tunnels to be a part of a feature length horror movie called Bloodlines (I think). Only reason I was there was because the scene I was in would be doubling as a music video for the almighty DOWNFALL! Although arriving an hour an a half late, I was thankfully still in time!

Free drinks and free food also!? Hair of the dog was definately in order and after 4 free Jack's I was cured of the dreaded hangover.

Saturday evening consisted of Craig coming to mine and watching the new failblog videos on youtube while i played FFXIII.

First impressions? visually it is the avatar of games out right now, I honestly think I came when i first played it and the gameplay is amazing...much better than XII thankfully!

After spraffing on about it for 3 weeks, I finally got my hair dyed bright red on sunday! Had to endure a night of having orange hair with blonde roots though.

Following the dying, I headed to practise with DeBassed and as soon as I walked in Alan said "Holy Shit! It's Holly Lobban!" the bastard that he is :p

After an amazing practise I headed out to pay the infamous @egg a visit in her pub. @xchickenx was also there!

After much banter and my usual point o' Guinness, I headed back to Eilidh's to watch Hellboy. I was quite surprised at how good it was! The assassin guy looks badass!

Perfect ending to a perfect weekend.

My god! Just got back home from the Aberdeen Uni Dance Society night and it was absolutely amazing.

Nothing better than a bunch of reasonably good looking girls dancing about all over the place! The new age dancing was really cool but the salsa dancing was definately my favourite.

Other than that, generic boring day at work but on the plus side I'm still on my massive high from the weekend!

4 days of being hyper has managed to create a new feeling of general optimism into my current life. I have high hopes for a lot of things that are happening to me at the moment but I know there are a few of the things that are just pipe dreams and I'm cool with that.

Shall post my weekend on here when Korova uploads their damn photo's!

Anthem of the night is definately going to have to be "Relax - Frankie goes to Hollywood" because it was featured in the show tonight and it made me remember how much i love this song.

What's your current anthem? whether its today or a song that you've just been loving for a while.
