The rest of my day was spent defending myself from Pterosaurs.

I just can't get over how amazing us human beings are you know, the fragility and the sensitivity (even if we don't own up to it, aknowledge it, understand it) is such an important part, its like why elephants always have marks under their eyes from their tears (well thats what I think) because they are alive just like us, its bitter sweet, but without the bitter the sweet just becomes a stale cracker.
It does seem to suck rather, sometimes, but on the other hand the sensitivity lets us experience such beauty, and there is so much of it there, just look around DailyBooth. It makes me feel itty bitty and cute like a mouse.

Jeez, now that I have a follower, I'll need to be more conscientious about *this* social medium, too. Sorry, @Serendip -- since I never had a follower before, I didn't know where to look for one!

This was probably taken in 2006 or 2007, and definitely taken near the shore of Lower Woods Pond in northeastern Pennsylvania. Those mushrooms are the poisonous North American variant of Amanita muscaria. Their European siblings (or cousins -- I'll leave that to mycologists) are red, rather than yellow, and are a potent hallucinogen.
