Christmas shopping all done - only took three hours and several laps of the city centre. Pretty much gave up on my brothers and got them both books, they are difficult to buy for... Happy with what I got Mum and Dad though, I spent more than I was anticipating on Mum's but I saw it and thought yeah I have to get her that. Hope she'll like it :3
Now I'm in my pjs watching CSI. It's not been a very interesting evening.
Today I'm wearing this amazing horrible dress that used to be a floor-length 80s house dress and now is a 50s-style knee length tea dress. It's completely hideous and I adore it :3
I think everyone's got a couple of bits of clothing that are awful but well-loved anyway, right? I've got a fair few, haha, mostly t-shirts I think...
Thunderbirds is my guilty pleasure. I have the whole collection - all the original die-cast vehicles and most of the figures, plus the revamped 2006 movie versions... it's basically the only thing I've ever collected in earnest, and I'm still always on the lookout for the bits I'm missing (anyone got an Alan or Parker lying around?) I just love it. Funnily enough was never into Captain Scarlet or Stingray - only the Thunderbirds.
John is my favourite Tracy brother. Virgil, pictured, a close second. Who's yours?
how are you all? i'm off out in a bit hence being all dressed up and stuff, just a family friend's birthday bash but it should be fun. would like to get back into boothing properly, but we'll see how it goes...
just got back from grandpa's 75th birthday party... actually found myself getting on really well with my 14 year old cousin who i haven't really spent much time with 'cause y'know, he's a kid. but now he's all grown up and he's pretty cool actually.
how old are your grandparents?
do you get on well with your extended family?
i helped my grandparents at a quiz and chips night. won a bottle of wine on the raffle and got a box of chocs for my help. i would've liked to have participated in the quiz! but helping was fun i guess.
so... who wants a choc? tell me the chocolate that you'd pick out of the box!
