20110911: YES I HAVE A TIGER NEXT TO ME. Today on the second of two day journey to Kanchanaburi we went to the Tiger Temple, but more on that later.

We woke up and grabbed some breakfast, checked out of the hostel, then walked and got lost on the way to the bus station, we saw a cemetery from World War II for British and Dutch soldiers and a war museum along the way. After more walking, a bus ride, and then even more walking, we were at the tiger temple.

The temple itself was actually pretty meh, one of the worst temples I've seen, much worse than the elaborate local temples near here. We got to pose with large tigers at the beginning and then we walked around for a while. They had roaming water buffalo, deer, cattle, ponies, and boars everywhere. We spent some time feeding the deer and letting the water buffalo lick our hands with their giant purple tongues.

Towards the end of the day we did the best part. They have a 45 minute long activity where 8 people can play with/feed a tiger cub. However, we were lucky as due to some miscommunication about whether it was full or not. No one booked the 3:00 time except for Stef and I (which sounds like a really weird thing, since they say usually all sessions are completely booked). Which meant, we both got to play with all 8 tiger cubs. 6 were 8 months old and 2 were 2 months old, but they were all adorable. This was surely the highlight of my day. One of the six monthers bit me and broke the skin, but no blood poured out or anything, it also didn't ruin my shirt, but definitely left a mark. So I can be one of the proud few in the world who can claim to have been bitten by a tiger.

After that we walked, took a bus, then a van, then another van back home. We arrived only to find the entire neighborhood was under 6 inches of water (fine for me since I live on the 15th floor). I'm hoping school will be canceled tomorrow because of it, but I really have no idea.

Oh, and make sure to check out my last two booths as well, since they were posted just before this one. I boothed with an elephant for yesterday's.

20100922: Notes for Wednesday, September 22nd.

1. Caught another mouse (thought there was only one). I named this one Slick because his hair was all greased up (presumably from the peanut butter it was trapped with). I guess this is mouse week for my booths... isn't Slick adorable? I think more so than Moose was.
2. gLee was amazing... but Vocal Adrenaline got Sunshine which made me all super sad-like. I also loved the Sue/Schue team up. Also... "people thought I went on vacation, but I actually spent all summer in the sewers", "...stop the violence...", "Coach Beiste didn't touch my boobs.... actually, I kind of want to touch her boobs". I love Brittany and it makes alll the more excited for her first solo/centric episode next week.
3. Early Modern China test tomorrow and Philosophy paper due on Friday... I actually have to work again. Poo.

5. I'm going to try the Undercovers tonight, since I don't have any Wednesday shows. It intrigues me because it looks like the less geeky version of Chuck and is from JJ Abrams (<3 Fringe and LOST).
6. What new series are you planning on watching this season or at least thinking about looking into? (if any)
