Dad's funeral was today. This was my speech:
I always highly respected my father. As far back as I can remember, I always anticipated that warm hug every afternoon when he got home which were usually followed by the words “how was your day mate?”, which was always replied by me with an “Alright.”
At home, he would usually be in bed watching The Antique roadshow or Dickenson’s real deal and would often ask me to stop talking for a second when an item of interest came up on the screen. He was a very intelligent man. For every item which came up onto the screen, he would calmly say out loud a price. A few moments later, the same if not very close price would be said on the show.
Throughout my whole life, I would often be found at his bedside talking to him. We shared a lot of the same tastes, especially in the film. He taught me about suits, watches, politeness, respect, business and pretty much prepared me for anything life can throw at me.
In the last few years especially, he talked a lot about his life and all the interesting stories he had to share.
He spoke a lot about family and close friends with high regard. To him, family was everything. He told me stories about growing up with my grandfather. Like me, he looked up to his father greatly and loved all the family around him. He spoke to me a lot about how much he loved my mother and my sister very much.
A week before he passed away, he came to my college for a parents evening. All of my teachers had only but praise to say about my performance at college. His face lit up instantly and that grin didn’t leave his face for days. That night when we got home, he told me couldn’t be prouder and he only but wished he had more money to give to me. He always told me no matter what, he would be proud of me just as long as I try my best.
On the morning of the day he passed away I came into his room to remind him that tonight I was accepting my award at school and also my birthday was coming up. He only said “okay mate, everything will be okay.” before closing his eyes and going to sleep. After I came home with my award, he passed away. He was so full of life and content the day before. He never complained about his illness. I’m so thankful to have a father who was able to keep going that long with a smile and only cared about my sister, my mother and me.
I will never forget the advice he told me. The stories he shared with me or the amount of love I have for him. I admired and adored him, more than I could for anyone. He was my best friend, my idol and my hero. Goodbye dad.16 commentsDecember 8th, 2011

Lisa is the definition of brilliant friend. Reliably, kind, lovely, funny, there to talk to, there to hang out with; The list could go on for a while. I'm lucky to have a friend like her!
Met her about last year during Summer on Facebook (funny story actually but rather long). I remember asking her before even meeting her in person for the first time as a joke "Want to come to London for a YouTube gathering in a few days lol" and she said "okay lol" and I met her at the train station. That was Summer in the City 2010 by the way, my first (of many) YouTube Gatherings.
Last night she made a booth about me with a similer message at the bottom saying I would cringe at it. I didn't, it was very sweet. So I thought I would photoshop a rubbish little collage of us. It's funny because it looks like you're drinking Olive Oil in the middle. LOL love you Lisa.

It's my birthday today. I went to Austin Reed. This Italian jacket high street price was £265. I got it, in my size at £29. Amazing.
And this shirt! The only shirt in-store in my size (Slim fit - 14 1/2) £20. Originally £70. It was from Canary Wharf, used for the manikin. It may look basic but the fabric is so high quality. The woman kept going how it was a brilliant shirt.
I love you all by the way. So much love <310 commentsNovember 23rd, 2011
