I've got it. I want to run my own second-hand bookshop, but it'll be called The Book Exchange, or something more creative, and basically when you come in, you can either buy the books, or trade me one of your old books for a new one, thus keeping stock fresh and putting books in circulation as we all share the beauty of reading.

I'm aware I'm easily not the first person to come up with this idea - I know a couple of cafes with bookshelves where you can take a book as long as you leave one behind - but it's struck me today that that is my dream and that is what I want to do with my life.

Also, there might be booze in this mug.

As some of you know, Claire and I won a photoshoot from being runner's-up in the karaoke competition and this is I think my favourite picture that came out of them. There's a few more on my Tumblr (http://chippedtooth17.tumblr.com) if anyone's nosey and interested.

We both think we suddenly look a lot older in the pictures, but are happy with how most of them turned out.

Due to the sudden excessive free time I've been dealt, I intend to be using much of this time to be the writer I keep claiming I am. Unfortunately, it seems to be a bit harder when I have the time. Still, I'm going to get into a routine. No sitting in bed - I'm treating it like a job. Get up, sit at the table, notebooks and word documents at my disposal, as well as some books for prompts.

Actually managing to get some words down and they might well be rubbish, but I've got to start somewhere. I've got so many ideas I think are good, it's just the task of getting them down onto the paper.

What's your favourite genre of book/film?
