    I'm kinda strange because most of my pieces do come out nicely, but whenever I look at them I regress to when I was making them and how frustrating it was. It's a love hate thing and sometimes I want to just smash it release all of that pent up energy I put into the clay. There are a few ceramic artists who do actually do that though, but I could never actually go through with it. Oh and yes ceramic is quite a fickle thing.

    I choose beetles because a lot of people see insects as something gross and ugly, but I wanted to represent them in a better light. I choose some that I found interesting and I'm going to apply patterns to them with glaze. Also I love victorian items and they collected insects in their spare time and would put them in frames and display them as art so I'm kinda of paying homage to that as well.
