Hello from Frankfurt, where I'm stuck for the night in a paid for hotel courtesy of airline fuck-ups. Observe my fancy XL t-shirt given to me in my 'overnight kit' as a nightgown. I'm sure they'll be all the rage on Victoria Secret in a few days.
Another heat wave in Venice and I was chopping onions a little earlier, so no make up for me. I figure if it's gonna melt off your face anyway, why bother? In other news, I got fined 54 euro for not scanning my waterbus pass yesterday. There goes my souvenir money.
I am now the proud possessor of a mosquito net around my bed, which, here living in an 18th century house in Venice without air conditioning but with a lot of mosquitoes flying through open windows that don't have screens... is a very good thing indeed.
New glasses! Now I'm even more of a nerd, yay! Tomorrow I am off to Venice! Super nervous about the connecting flights though. How does that even work???
I'm still trying to cram in as much Italian as I can, but the online course I was taking reached the end of it's free trial. :( Any other recommendations?
