Hey! How are all the people of dailybooth? I feel like I haven't been able to check in as much as I'd like to these past couple weeks.
Anyway, I was going about my normal university business today and it occurred to me what a serious face I was wearing. Around people I don't know very well, I tend to come off as a very solemn individual.
I've tried to act more carefree, but my goofy, cheerful side that comes out in more private settings almost always loses out to my sterner, more formal qualities in public (as illustrated above).
So, tell me, how do you primarily act in the outside world? Do you appear grim and businesslike? Are you a joker? Perhaps the face you present to others is shy and modest? Or maybe it's smiling, friendly and eager to make acquaintances?

Hello, my eccentric booth people! You're quite a group, you know that? I find you all lovely though.
OK, here we go, I'm uploading some pictures. However, none of them are really new. I've been in a dorm all week, and, well, that's just not a fun place to take pictures.
So, I know I've been tagged for various things by a bunch of people. I really haven't forgotten about any of you...I just put you aside for a little while. I plan on doing them all soon!
Anyway, I figured it would be nice to split things up among a couple bluejays, one of my cats and myself (it feels awfully lonely when it's just me up here).
...In case you were wondering, Simon (the cat) was unable to catch any birds this winter.
Do you guys like to read? What sort of literature do you enjoy the most? What book/books (if any) are you reading right now?

I know it's been a few days. I really will try to upload more often in the future!
Anyway, here are some semi-random photos for you. (Why is it the farther I get away from the camera, the stranger I seem to appear?) I think you guys need to see me from new perspectives...you know, so you can appreciate what an odd little person I really am. (Oh, and @weddeth, might I draw your attention to that middle picture, in which I'm looking at the camera AND smiling!)
I think I look kind of like a monkey in that bottom picture though, huh?! And yes, my tongue is sticking out a little for no apparent reason. It's the result of my camera's 10 second timer...given that much time, what was I supposed to do other than crouch and stick out my tongue? I can't conceal my insanity for 10 whole second while I wait for the camera.
Will you show me a random picture? Just set your camera to go off, and invent a crazy pose at the last second, without thinking!
So, dailyboothers, are you guys good in social situations with unfamiliar people? As you might imagine, I can get intensely awkward. It really is a spectacle to behold!

Above are pictures of me in the snow from a couple weeks ago, the little snowman I was making for @LynnLinmengdie, but never got to finish and the fire we made earlier this week when the power went out and we all nearly froze.
Sorry your Christmas snowman is tiny and unfinished, @LynnLinmengdie! At first, the snow was too dry, but then it rained all night and destroyed almost ALL of the snow before it stopped. Then I started your miniature snowman, but had to go inside before finishing. Overnight it froze solid!...then the next day a cat took off his head. This picture is him in his frozen state, after I realized I couldn't finish him.
OK, so I have a question for everyone here. I said something to my older brother earlier today about "writing to my friends on the internet," and he derisively told me "they're NOT your friends. You have to know someone in person to really be friends with them."
How do you guys feel about this? Do you consider anyone you've met on sites like dailybooth to be your genuine friends, despite having never met them in person? Or do you agree with my brother?

This is me and my cat, Dax. She was born to feral cats in my garage...and I kinda got attached to her, so she gets to come in whenever she wants (even though she's fond of biting really hard to show her affection).
Take a picture with an animal (other humans count!) and tell me something about him/her.

As you can see, my cat and I are still enjoying the snow...or at least I am. This was his first significant snowfall, so he was understandably concerned.
I also wanted to show you my Mickey (as the sorcerer's apprentice) and Tinkerbell ornaments, both of which take me back to my childhood. Show me an awesome ornament!
As strange as it sounds, my favorite Christmas memory is from a year when I was quite sick on Christmas morning. I was very small, and I vividly remember walking down the stairs while clutching my mother's hand. I can't recall any of the presents I received that year, but the sense wonder and anticipation I felt as I feebly walked downstairs with my mother that day was oddly powerful to me.
