Gosh, those are good goals for 2011!!! I'm sure you'll be able to quit smoking...and I feel quite confident that you won't have trouble finding someone to fill that void in your life either. I'm very familiar with not having any close companions. It can be pretty tough, but hey, look on the bright side. Learning how to be self-reliant and emotionally independent can be valuable attributes to develop in the absence of much close social support, right? I don't mean to undervalue the importance of such support though, because having someone to trust implicitly and feel emotionally close to and open with is really an amazing thing, which everyone deserves! Haha, my new year's was good. It was indeed as mild as I had planned...in fact, it may have been even milder than expected! It was just the way I liked it. Noise and crowds tend to scare me a little, you know?

Ah, hmm...my Christmas was pretty much the usual too, haha (except for the blizzard that took away our electricity for the past 24 hours, which was really quite awful).
I've been good though. I'm actually out of school now. I've been going through the hell of preparing my applications for grad school these days. What have you been up to? Are you in school?
