Listening to this guy whilst organising my trip to Japan ^^, (Anyone can guess who he is?!) looking for titbits on train times, places to go and finalising confirmations.
Will be starting in Tokyo 3 days to climatise, then onto Kyoto for a few days then Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. Back to Tokyo for 4 days maybe stopping at Yokohama for a look-see. A wealth of info out there on the tinternet ^^ quite mind boggling o_O'.
Halleujah! Have managed to fix my graphic tablet pen with an epoxy resin botch job ^^. Life (well mine anyways) is worth living again! Thought I'd draw something to test it out to make sure it was working properly, so thought I'd draw an anime chick!
Eight page book on the left and the classic crane on the right...
Tradition says make a thousand cranes and you can make a wish that will come true!
There is a story originating from World War 2 about a girl who caught leukemia due to the bomb falling in Hiroshima. She believed that if she could make a thousand cranes she could make a wish for herself. Unfortunately she died before she could make the thousand, however after her death, friends and family continued to finish what she started. Beautiful story.
Just finished watching the anime 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time' (Toki o Kakeru Shōjo) and recommend folks here watch it if they like this stuff (and have the spare time ^^). Very thought provoking and the animation is stunning.. Up there with Ghibli. Is there anybody out there in DB who has seen an anime they would reccomend?
You can watch an English dubbed version on YouTube by heading here if you so wish!
Popped through the post, these hirigana transfers for my laptop keyboard.
