Hi all... Sorry I look a little rough. @Thommen's been looking rough, too, but at least he has a better reason for it, which I'll explain on his booth.

I've been chillin' from Dailybooth for a while. I've been getting used to the mental workload of the new job, trying to keep up with my photography projects, taking time out for fun stuff (like Netflix!) and spending whatever time I can on Skype with my (long-distance) girlfriend @BertieTiger.

As far as the photography goes, I have three photo albums to share with you on this lazy Sunday. Two of them are from Yelp.com events at Citizen Public House restaurant and the Arizona Science center...

I can't guarantee any more booths, but I love checking on here occasionally with all of my close friends here. I'll be back. <3

I'm home from work, relaxing and skyping with Emma (@BertieTiger)... <3

Also trying to figure out how I'm going to divide up all the photos I have in my main Aperture library into smaller libraries. I have 8,700+ photos to manage now. And Aperture seems to be complaining about the database size! xD

Hey guys! I took this pic at the MacMedia store in Peoria, AZ. I tweeted it at the time because I was lamenting the fact that I can't buy everything in there, hahahaa!! xD

I had to buy a new 1TB LaCie drive to replace my old one that was showing signs of failure. I originally bought a Seagate drive the other day for this purpose, but it doesn't like playing well with the Mac OS X system. I'll still keep it for emergency dumps, though.

Also, as predicted, I had to buy a new toy... an AppleTV unit. I just couldn't walk away from that store unscathed!! x'D

What's a store that you're tempted to buy all their inventory?? xDDD

I got a new toy today to help me with some of those poorly-lit event shoots and other tough shots. A Canon Speedlite 270EX. =)

I don't like using flash for any pictures, but sometimes it's very necessary to use. Flash can be great, but all too often (unless you're reeeeally careful!) it makes for crappy "party-shots"; where you have vastly under-and-overexposed parts of the shot. The pivoting head along with the flash control settings helps overcome that party-shot effect.

My pic was taken using it on the camera, with the flash pointed at the light source, making the illumination more realistic at ISO 400 with f4 aperture.

Yes, I think I really do wear my heart on my sleeve for everyone to see and love/appreciate/make fun of... And I think I'm usually the better for it.

No matter how much it benefits or hurts, sometimes. That's life, I guess. =)

I'm at Chili's in Goodyear, AZ, having me a beer, burger and chips & salsa. I needed this as a celebration of my first trial-by-fire week at work and surviving, and also surviving the drama today.

I'm laying in bed with a headache that I'm trying to prevent from getting worse...

... but, someone is determined to put a smile on me from ear to ear! That someone is @BertieTiger!! She is my Valentine and she's gone the extra mile (and half a world of distance) by sending me a cute little love bear and an awesome card!
