The special scissors that I use to clear out nose hairs. They remind me of the snout of a gharial (see http://www.flickr.com/photos/notfrisco/3481880793/) Aren't you glad to know that such equipment exists?
Double whammy today. Therapist then teeth cleaning. Some problems with the latter because I stopped brushing for the period when I was down with a cold/pneumonia. Apparently the thermonuclear anti-biotic I was on doesn't do gingivitis.
Did you know that not brushing your teeth can make you sick in other ways?
And there was a study that I saw recently that said scratching your ankles is the most pleasant kind of itch-combatting you can perform.
I love to scratch my ankles.

Reflecting on what I will address in my session with my therapist tomorrow. I have a helpless state of mind. I think it might be due to brainwashing and an ultra-competitive environment growing up.
Don't let that happen to your children.

This is what I am serving tonight.
Rain clouds dimmed my chances of going out for a hike with Doggy. So I napped instead. When I woke up, I learned that @EmpressNorton had taken him to the park. Sigh.
Sent out my rolls of film to be processed. I should have the results by the end of the week. I'm not entirely sanguine about them. In the meantime, I should get off my butt and post the photos I have been taking on my digital.

Odd face #887. (Look back to April 1 2011 to see why this doesn't match my total number of booths.)
Overcast -- looking like a picture taken in Britain. So after going to Trader Joe's, I came home, napped, watched the last part of Season "6" of Doctor Who, bagged some film for mailing and processing, and came to my computer to entertain my public.
So went Saturday the 11th of February, 2012. What all did you do?5 comments3 days 6 hours ago

Some things are best left unexplained.
A bit down because my student wanted to discuss politics. I've been trying to avoid the subject on all fronts, but she wanted a few matters explained to her.
I just can't do it like I used to. Not these days.
Nonetheless, I blogged something. Not happy about the quality of it, even though I stand by every word of it. (See http://www.notfrisco2.com/paxnortona/?p=9561)
I keep in mind, however, that people like Hitler and Stalin came to power on the promise that they would end politics. And they did.
I'll take politics. I just don't pretend to like it.4 comments5 days 1 hour ago

Posing with my Lomography Spinner 360 which I took out for a test drive today.
All this pneumonia and depression has rendered me out of condition. I walked about a third to half way of my usual walk today and sweated all the way. I also neglected to eat enough for breakfast. This tells.
But I took a couple of pictures with this, finishing the roll. Now to finish the roll I have in my Fisheye and send everything off to the developer.
Can you see I am dressed for #RedShirtWednesday? (The red shirt is visible just beneath the collar of my orange vest.) Are you?
What did you do for recreation/exercise? I see @nonnankobra has a new camera, too....14 comments6 days 12 hours ago

Going through a box of old photos while wearing the opposite of @HopeMoskal's outfit for the day.
Tomorrow it is going to rain and on Wednesday, it will rain more in the morning. I am looking forward to this.
All life in this condo has been wrapped in ennui. It was rainier last winter, but I think this has been a worse one for me emotionally. More wind and dry spells might be part of the formula.
Here's a good film on stigma: http://youtu.be/WJTU6K6UopA
And I end this by asking about self stigma -- when we become so wrapped up in our disease, we Uncle-Tom our way through life, accepting that we are the rotten/lazy/dangerous person the rest of the world has taught us that we are. When you are in a depression, this is very tempting.
I think the challenge is to do what you can to limit the disease's effects on you and live brilliantly.
How have you been living brilliantly? Or not?4 comments1 week 1 day ago

Despite the look and feel, this was not taken with Retro Camera. It is an authentic Polaroid taken with my Impulse back in 1991 or so. Mark this as a late #RetroSunday offering.
Damn I look fierce! And look at my hair and mustache!
That's me in the background, too.
Took the new camera out for a test drive. Learned a few hazards like my thumb getting in the way when the camera is turning. Tomorrow I am taking it up the Harding Trail for a couple of shots. I need to press myself to get some of this weight off.
Other than that, I have been making arrangements for my trip to Salt Lake City in March. No idea what we are going to do on the way up and back except that I hope to stop by the mining town where my father was born.
Hmm. Just realized that it is only 12 years to the 100th anniversary of his birth. 8 to the 40th anniversary of his death.

Know who this is? (It's not my mother.)
I may be coming out of my long turpitude. Didn't want to sleep so much today.
I got a new camera which I will be trying out soon. It takes a 360 degree panorama of wherever you are.
Also, be sure to pay @SuzyTBo a visit and bid her a happy birthday.
I bet @Xatrax knows who this is. She's a sophisticate.8 comments1 week 3 days ago
