It's 3am, I'm exhausted, but I had to post this. My book may not have come with a Hanklerfish, but its got one now! :D (And actually two John signatures, by accident. The one it came with and tonight's). Had an awesome time with my fellow nerdfighters. Danced and laughed a lot. Best bit of the night (besides meeting John and Hank) was when Hank sang about Harry Potter and wanting a book 8 and threw out some possible titles, one of which started, "Harry Potter and Benedict Cumberbatch," to which the whole crowd screamed at before he could finish and he had to take a step back. He laughed nervously and said, "That was a... physical experience." Awesome.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the WIN! Got this hat a few days ago and have been dying to post it. I got to choose which turtle and OF COURSE I chose Michelangelo! Dude's my homie! We were so a like, spacey, laid back, pizza and surf lovers. Cowabunga!
Today I wear what I like to call my "Ensemble de Nerd." The hat, my Star Trek chucks, plaid shirt (why that says nerd in my mind I don't know), and a necklace I bought because of Alexander Skarsgard to help save whales. :)
Which was your favorite Ninja Turtle and why? Any particular favorite childhood cartoons?5 commentsJanuary 24th, 2012

So this is leftover wedding fair-ness. My feet are in hell and my back isn't much better, but I still had lots of fun. It's great getting the "band" back together. My baby bro came and visited with his awesome girlfriend and I think he may have been a little unnerved by it all, esp. when she started chatting up different venders. I'm actually glad about that, because though I love them both dearly and they have been together for like five years he's still 17 and she's 18 and I think they should live a little more, you know, sort their shit out. (He was hinting last year about proposing when he graduates) Anyway, even though I couldn't eat all day I did nab some scrumptious cake samples and one FABULOUS crabcake. :D
How was your Sunday? (I know, probably not as weird as this one, but I'd still love to know)5 commentsJanuary 15th, 2012

Nothing like Reese's Puffs to start your day. Healthy and nutritious... not really, but scrumptious. Was reminiscing with a co-worker earlier this week about cereal we had as kids. I mentioned this and got all nostalgic so picked some up last night. She reminded me of a cereal that we had when I was in grade school that I'd completely forgotten about, but do remember eating. Rice Crispy Treat cereal. Have any of you ever tried that? It was literally just lumps of rice crispy treats and you added milk. Ahhh, ridiculously non-nutritious, but awesome nonetheless.
What was your go to cereal as a kid?1 commentJanuary 8th, 2012

Just finished Looking For Alaska and now on to American Gods! I'm so pissed at myself for skipping two days as I've only just started! Anyway, here's an easy question...

Though I do not usually condone graffiti, I do love it when you stumble upon inspirational, or in this case motivational, bathroom stall advice. This person was really passionate (or crazy pissed off) when they wrote this.
Ever encounter some especially interesting bathroom graffiti?3 commentsJanuary 5th, 2012

Horrible picture, yes I know. Vaguely Cousin It. I just tried my hand at dying my hair myself. Not so sure it turned out very good. The top is a very lovely auburn/red, but the ends and roots worry me. Am I being self-indulgent? Come on, this whole site is self-indulgent.
Have you tried to perform a task on your own that is usually performed by someone in the service industry? Oil Change? Hair? Etc...5 commentsJanuary 3rd, 2012

It's taken me forever to get through this book, but not because it sucks, more like it's f-ing awesome and I don't want it to end. I simultaneously feel fury and pride as I read and it's terribly thought provoking, hilarious, and empowering. The latest chapter, "He's Got G.I. Joe, She's Got Barbie," also reminded me of how much I love Joss Whedon and how he's totally in my hug bucket list.
Who's in your hug bucket?3 commentsJanuary 2nd, 2012
