I quit smoking successfully about a month ago! I saw how much my brother depends on cigarettes since I last saw him and thought myself, "My god, that is pathetic. I don't want to do this anymore."

Haven't smoked since! And I started about 5 years ago D: though I was never a particularly heavy smoker. Anyway, if you have the right motivation it's easy! :D

@GeeIsMe If I could just go back to smoking while out drinking, then stop that all together, that would be cool with me!
@haribo I guess it does help to get a reality check like that.
My dad gave up cigarettes for cigars and my mum still smokes. Not that I blame it on them at all, but it makes me feel like I can just keep going and everything will be fine.
The thing that's started to scare me is my breathing. I end up finding it pretty hard to take deep breaths. Scaaaaary stuff!

@Egg you just need something else to replace it! i had a friend who quit and she carried a straw with her everywhere and chewed on that when she wanted to smoke. Take up like Extreme Knitting. Or Zombie Hunting. Or Parachuting! haha. :D
