I have been here for almost two years now and I have met some incredible people, most of whom I know I will stay in touch with. But for the past year I haven't been as committed as in the first months, what with exams, prom, holidays and everything.
So today I decided to look back on all the pictures, all 355 of them. I didn't even make a year in booths.
But looking back has made me realise how much I have changed from then to now. First, the visual things : I've lost weight, my hair colour and style is completely different, my room has changed, my skin has cleared up and so on, but also I have grown in self confidence and determination.
As I said, through this site I have met many wonderful people . . . too many to name all of them, so I hope they know who they are. But I have also encountered the other side of the spectrum, the people who hurl abuse and vulgar comments at your pictures. These people obviously have no idea what power words have and so have been forgotten by me and many others.
And finally, I shall say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on here, and maybe when I return from the States I shall post a few pictures, comment here and there, but I believe that this shall be the last proper blurb from me.
I met you once, I loved you twice that's the way this tale begins.
I played my hand, I rolled the dice and now I'm paying for my sins.
I love that song.
Today we had a fair. Now a fair to us = an excuse for the pubs to open at 10am and not close until gone midnight so as you can imagine by 11am everyone was completely drunk and making disgusting comments that you can only get away with when you cannot walk in a straight line.
Then comes the old men who decided that today was their lucky day and asked if I would like to go out tonight for 'a bit of fun'. That was declined.
BUT - the atmosphere was pretty amazing to be honest!
Probably one of my favourite pictures of the night.
America is in 18 days and I still haven't got half the things that I need to get. Goodbye organisational skills and hello throwing everything into a case and hoping for the best.
Got bored with my hair this morning so decided to go for a full fringe :P My hairdresser almost killed me - only had it cut a week ago and prom is in 8 days!
So, as of last Tuesday I have left school. The exams were universally awful, but hey, it's all over now!
Here's to three months of work, broken up by a lovely 2 weeks in America!
