    Spent most of my day with my foot up (as the doctor at A&E recommended that I do that for 2-3 days)

    This meant I had to take the day off work... :(

    (I'm considering spraining my other ankle if it means I get to see the GORGEOUS doctor again...)

    Hobbling much better today (in fact, I'm nearly walking) so against the (beautiful) doctor's advice, I'm going back to work tomorrow... (sorry @Jenticle)

    This is what happens when you jump down the last few of your stairs and land in a 4 inch trench dug by plumbers and covered up by the carpet.

    Went to A&E and they took some X-rays - turns out nothing was broken, and it's just a bad sprain.

    Oh and the doctor was GORGEOUS <3<3<3

    She advised me to stay off my feet and keep my ankle raised.
    I then told her I was working 8 hours shifts (on my feet) at work for the next 4 days...

    I may take tomorrow off...

    Today, I got the bus to Oxford to visit @death_or_glory!

    We went and had lunch at Atomic Burgers - a BRILLIANT burger restaurant with comic themes!

    I had the "Chuck Norris" (picture below)
    Then we went for ice-cream at the ice-cream parlour a few doors down!

    Next, @death_or_glory took me on a bit of a tour - we visited Several of the Oxford colleges, and we drank in two famous pubs:
    "The Turf" - really old an hidden away, and
    "The Eagle and Child" - the pub where The Inklings met - JRR Tolkein, CS Lewis and Company.

    We also had rather a lot of Coffee!

    Got the bus back home (1 1/4 hours!) and met a friend in town for more drinks/dinner at the local wetherspoons (sausage and mash!)
    Friend's mum gave us a lift home :D

    Oh and as I came down the stairs once I was at home, I jumped the last few steps (as I normally do) and managed to land awkwardly with one foot landing in an open trench (covered by carpet)
    that the plumbers had dug to channel some piping tomorrow).

    Ankle made a lovely cracking/popping/crunching noise and we think it's sprained... Oops!

    HUZZA! HURRAY! CHEERS!

    I've got a full time job!

    (Well i'll be honest it's the same job as before, only with a full time contract/salary rather than unreliable zero hour contract)

    So as of the 1st September i'll be working full time,
    And my manager suggested I apply for the Supervisor role when that becomes available in October!

    It's looking good!

    Boy am I glad to be home.

    Been non stop for the last 6 days!

    So... yesterday.... Didn't go to well.

    We had dinner, and half way though the movie she got a phone call to say her Gran was back in hospital and it wasn't looking good.
    Her dad came and picked her up (mid movie) and she wouldn't let me wait with her as she was so upset.

    As a result I was left on my own in the cinema, feeling totally helpless in not being able to do anything for her :(

    I've offering my shoulder if she needs it, but don't really know what else to do :(



    Off to Cardiff again tomorrow to meed @Kyatic.
    She's got something up her sleeve for us to do.

    So far I know:
    It doesn't involve dinosaurs.
    I don't need Scuba gear.
    I don't need my alligator repellant cream.

    Any guesses what she has planned?

    Back to work today!

    I HATE the summer holidays/Children

    My section of the shop was trashed because customers allowed their kids to run wild and play with products -______-

    DIE

    Enquired with my manager regarding going onto a full-time contract and then potentially going for the supervisor position.

    *fingers crossed*

    Playing about with the new Photo booth features (including these new "track your head hearts).

    Strangely appropriate as I have a second date tomorrow.

    *fingers and toes crossed*

    Nearly empty G+T after a long two days giving evidence in court (hence the suit for the last two days)

    Case is adjourned until the end of august as The opposition didn't disclose all the relevant data so they've got to send that before it can continue... *sigh*
