Look what my bestest friend ever got me today! :D :D :D
It will probably be the best book in my entire collection.
This will not be leaving my side for a very long time.
Yea..I just noticed the time....I'm going to be late for work...oh well, always time to dailybooth in my Harry Potter snuggie!
I may grow old but I REFUSE to grow up!
Untold story time:
I am a daddy's girl. I thought I hid it well but after his passing I discovered that everyone knew it. One of my favorite things we had together was Valentines Day. Valentines Day was my mom & dad's anniversary so it holds a little extra purpose in my house.
It was just this weird thing we had together ever since I was a little kid. He did it with my sister and brother too but they grew out of it. I never did. Every Valentines Day I got something from my dad, usually it was just a stuffed animal (usually a bear because bears held special meaning to us also. But thats a story for another day), a heart shaped box of chocolates and a card. It wasn't ever much but it was a tradition for us and I loved it. The last Valentines Day present my dad ever gave me was this rose. Its fake obviously but he made it special. He put it in one of my moms red vases and sprayed the flower with a cinnamon scent (he loved that smell) He said it was because a flower needed a scent and so that I could smell my rose like it was a real flower...except that it smelled like Big Red gum and no rose smells like that :)
Over the years the scent has sadly faded out but the memory never will.
My dad was always my valentine. And I was his.
